Must've been a drunken fitting....

I love that Aeroplane's avatar is Sulu's head.

It makes his intriguing and informative posts about wheel lacing all the better.

Plus it reminds me of this http://youtube.com/watch?v=aA20dKc3kK8

just a front brake. it's an old frame, and i only found one long reach in the pile i dug through. gearing is super low because the ride home is from sea level to really high and i'm doing rehab on my knee. it's pretty ideal because everywhere i go is downhill there, uphill home. :) puff puff.

they don't. i'm guessing that you already knew that. i'm guessing that you also knew that the other poster means that s/he chose the components for the build, and doesn't know the difference between choosing a build and getting a frame custom built, and that your question to the other poster is, rather than an attempt to teach them, an attempt to humilate them by pointing out what they don't know.

and that's wack.

Agreed 100%. To add to that, there is nothing inherent in the phrase
"custom built" that means that the frame was custom fabricated. We
all use the word "build" (or it's past tense) to describe the process of
assembling a bicycle. If this person walked into NYC bikes and picked
componentry off the shelf and had them assemble it, then it is "custom
built" by practically anyone's standards, except apparently jim-bob's.
