That's not just white powdercoating is it?

SkyeC 09-27-07 12:24 AM

Looks like it. I don't think you can anodize in white. Seems like where the spokes attach the powdercoat will rub off, though...

Meh, just use white-out.

They're not even in production yet, but if I actually get 'em I'll do the build.

V-Rock 09-27-07 07:29 AM

so, that pretty white hub kinda looks as if it is porcelain.

I wonder how well a porcelain hub would hold up?

cc700 09-27-07 07:37 AM

hahaha... i think it would hold your weight unless you jumped on it, but the second you hit something or went over a bump it would shatter. that is, if it could handle being built. the spokes would probably shatter the sides.

asherlighn 09-27-07 09:27 AM

This is my bike. The parts are rather generic, so I decorated it. There are batman stickers on the other side.

sorry for cellphone pics

Edit: I think Im going to get some yellow tires.

cc700 09-27-07 10:03 AM

not feeling the batman stickers. get orange and red accents with your yello and then add a P decal before the IRO... pyro bike! yeah!

looks like it's just an imperfection in the powder coating, if it was cracked the line would be much finer.
Plus as you can tell the thing has never been used, so cracked is unlikely

If you didnt buy them then why are we coloring you broke?
Were we supposed to think you bought the hubs or something?

Correct, White Anno can't happen. You can do "Clear Dust" which on good Al looks pretty close to white, but not like that hub.

IMO, it looks cool.

Ninjaman, where did you get that brake lever? I've been looking for a lever like that.

ninjaman 09-27-07 12:22 PM

I don't remember, but I've had it lying around for awhile

besides, im still learning how to wheelie [: but i swap out to my cxp23s for that business.

SkyeC 09-27-07 12:32 PM

heh, like riding wheelies and bike tricks are some kinda required task for riding a fixed bike

I would bet that is the string holding on the (inevitably hefty) price tag.

Because come mid-November I'll be far from not broke.

Looks like string for a tag, yo.

I have a problem. If I have stickers, I put them on things I use daily. Which is why my bike has some threadless and noisebot and profile stickers on it.

Lol if I put a P in front of the IRO it would be "PIRO" ... and I dont like megatokyo
