Ninjaman, where did you get that brake lever? I've been looking for a lever like that.

It's called a "cross lever". They're used for cyclocross. Tektro sells them in pairs for ~20-30 dollars. They're at all my LBS'.

Reminds me of a cheesy display I saw in a mall as a kid: suv sitting on 4 tea cups, one under each wheel.

People, I don't care about what kind of bars you ride, but why ride unwrapped? It's slippery, uncomfortable, and stupid looking.

im working on it.

and ps. this fight is ****ing stupid. the bars are functional for me. im not looking for "street cred"

This was on the way to the brake-hole driller. I'll post some pics of that saga later....
The frame rides beautifully and fits me better than the Umezawa size-wise. Super stoked :)

I have ridden my Fizik White bar tape for a couple weeks now and the color is still very much white. Cork tape would have been dirty after a day.

if it fits you so well, why is the stem jacked so far out of the hedadtube?

Trevorgasm 09-28-07 06:31 PM

That is neato. I love it. Yeah. It's a Triax, right? Another lovely creation from our friends at Dynacraft (http://www.dynacraftbikes.com/). It has the sticker on the seat tube that reads "This bicycle is NOT designed for stunting or for off-road use". Incidentally that same sticker is on their "mountain bikes". Check out a Next or Anza or Vertical bike next time you are in Target. And for that guy who said the Crank Bro's fork is blah blah... that is the genuine stock imitation bladed fork. Amazing what a perfectly placed decal can do to peoples' perceptions.
And...

And dammit! I was at Target three days ago and there was that exact bike with $37-something price tag on it. I rolled it over to the price scanner thinger on the aisle, but the thinger wouldn't scan and then my wife caught me. We were on our way to Interbike, a 760 mile road warrior day. It would have been silly (not to mention ironic) to drive to Interbike packin' a $37 Target bike.

So I didn't buy the bike. And I still don't have me a road bike, besides my $15 yard sale Matsuri Jaunter XII that I resurrected SS. And then my bike lust haze cleared and I realized it was a 64cm frame, and I'm only 5'10". And I can ride it but I feel like an 8 year on it, and I can't even straddle the f-er.

I love it, but it is too large a horse for me. And I lavished love and $70 in parts on it. And I must say, when I finally do get me's a roadie bike I think I will build it fixed! And I will probably learn to skip and skid and probably hurt myself. But maybe not.

;) ...right?!?

It's 58cm c-c. The Umezawa has a reverse slope to the headtube and was super low as a result. I swapped the parts at 2am the night before and was playing around with a bunch of positions yesterday. That's what it looked like when I took the pics I posted. I settled about an inch lower that that but I'm still messing around :)

Agreed, but Fi'zik certainly keeps white much longer than anyone else.
