but ultimately, isn't it the bidding that drove the price that high, or is it the misleading qualities of the description? I mean, the bike isn't a ****pile, it's just not an AWESOME frame.definitely not worth 600.
I should mention that I have a 1972 nishiki (used to be called American Eagle, unbelievably enough). Got a complete build for 500 (mavic wheels which are worth more than the bike upped the price). But nishiki can be had for pretty cheap. The bidder should've seen this: https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...%3D4%26ps%3D42

Uh, the bidding was intense because of the description.....which was a lie.
No, it isn't a ****pile but it isn't NJS or Keirin and it doesn't have MKS track pedals or Velocity Deep-Vs on it, it is a misrepresentation of the product and that is not how eBay works.
If you bought any other product and it turned out that the seller had lied about it, would you not want your money back? If your answer is no, I have a Keirin, NJS track bike in my backyard with Deep-Vs and MKS track pedals on it that you can buy from me....

boo on you. You are an ebay scammer, pretty low in the ranks of internet users. You inaccurately described your bike and took advantage of someone's lack of knowledge. What kind of society do we live in, f**k it, on a smaller level, what kind of community is the biking community (not bike culture, that's dumb) if the majority of folks out there are snakes hoping to prey on the less knowing? Poor show. You are a sh*tty human being that probably plans ways to profit from your grandparents death.
Beyond that you seem to have over looked some of the ebay listing policies ...

someone should report this to ebay as fraudulent due to mis-description with intent of serious profiteering and swindling. and message the buyer so he can get his money back. send him the link. hopefully he paid thru paypal so he can dispute the charges.
as a matter of fact I'm going to do this now.

Here is what I wrote in my original message:
Dear pealeavenue,
Hey man, you got totally rooked on that Nishiki "track" bike. It is not NJS, it is not Keirin, those are not Velocity Deep V rims....the guy lied about everything, I suggest you get your money back, cheers.
Oh, and he bragged in an online cycling forum about this, check it out:

Cancel it via PayPal and cite mis-representation of the item as grounds for a refund. Good luck.
Marketplace Safety Tip
Keep your money safe - never pay for items with cash or instant money transfer services, such as Western Union or MoneyGram. In the past some sellers have exploited these payment methods in order to defraud buyers, so eBay has banned them from the site.
Received a Second Chance Offer email? Double check that it's genuine: Second Chance Offer emails come directly from eBay and are shown in your My Messages.
Trade safely. Beware of anyone who contacts you about buying or selling outside of eBay. When you trade outside of eBay, you're not able to leave feedback or take advantage of protection programs and dispute resolution tools available on eBay. Report an inappropriate email.

So, message the buyer. If he gets enough messages, he will act. Just like that a-hole seller that was selling a POS converted Shogun with a BIN of $1200, he will figure it all out and go through PayPal to get his cashola back.

The cranks are not worth $300 and the rims are very low-end Alex fake deep-vs that are not worth $20.
YOU ARE GETTING SWINDLED BY BDFRESH. HE IS LYING TO YOU ON ALL ACCOUNTS IN ORDER TO RIP YOU OFF, THE BIKE IS _NOT_ WORTH $600 BY ANY MEANS.
To top it off, he has made a thread on bikeforums bragging on how he profited on a low-end bike. He has received animosity because of his very low-life, scummy practice and misleading description.
He says you have already paid: we would all recommend you DO NOT accept the package and file fraud reports with (presumably) paypal and ebay immediately. Please join us at bikeforums, we want to make sure you don't get ripped.

Yeah, too bad i never said it had Velocity Deep Vs on it. But thanks guys. Also i never said the frame was NJS, i said the BARS MIGHT BE then i said (NOT 100% SURE). so really i did nothing wrong. LIKE I SAID BEFORE, I PUT NJS/KEIREN IN THE PAGE SO WHEN PEOPLE SEARECHED FOR THOSE, MY BIKE WOULD COME UP. Did i EVER SAY that the frame was an NJS/Keiren TRACK FRAME? NO! i didn't. But thanks you guys are so polite.
