Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Not where pants are concerned they don't. Or with banks. I hear those Swiss banks are dope.

Don't understand why people hack levers.

Throws off the balance. Not usually an aesthetics weenie, but shaved/cut levers bother me for some reason.

same here. i figured if you wanted hood levers, might as well put two functional ones and 2 brakes too.

The dummy lever comes that way for tandem stoker and fixie applications. Ideal when riding out of the saddle.
