Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I have my front brake lever on the lefthand side; I grew up with it in that position.

I do not need to slow down to turn, though. I wear a helmet, signal when appropriate.

FULL SPEED AHEAD, MATES

i miss the days when it was brakeless vs front brake hate Now its hating because someone has their lever on the "wrong" side, maybe it suits THEM better on THEIR bike?

On the aerospoke the tire is a CST tire. On the deep v its a Continental tire.

strider---I like the setup w/ the chrome fork and aerospoke more. I still think aerospokes look sick on some bikes no matter how lame they are haha

sorry, but since you can't seem to spell "retention" you lost the right to complain about it.

For removing and installing grips, don't use glue, or hairspray or water or spit or anything like that!!!!

Just get a can of air used for cleaning electronics of dust.

Like this.

1. Slip the end of the grip over the end of the bar,
2. Stick the aircan tube into the grip.
3. Blast air and the grip will slide easily into place.

This way it is immediately set securely, so you can ride immediately. And when you want to remove, you can just blast it with air again and it'll be off in seconds.

I bought a used bike that the previous owner had used some kind of adhesive to mount the ourys! I had to cut the bastards off when I wanted to change the brake levers!!

So stupid when using an aircan is so fast and easy and doesn't damage your grips or leave residue on your bars.

*Rant over*
