Yes please! Personally, I think chromed lugs and chromed forks/stays would be too much. I'd take a lugged Kilo TT with or without chrome in a heartbeat. Track geometry preferred.

And Mike...even though I just gave you my money for my glitter gold KTT (which I adore), I'll most likely be giving you more once the full chrome ones come out.

I'll justify it to the wife by saying Kilos are like cats...if you're going to get one, you may as well get two, right???

The Stripper is on the water; and we would have it up for pre-book now
but our newest sample, which we want to use in listing
was sent DHL and they mis-routed iit tyo sandiago, chile? But they say it will be delivered here today and so I hope to have pre-book up friday or monday or tuesday

~~~~~~~~~~
Now a question for GREEN FANS
would this GREEN work? I have used it for years and tourists like it:
I really want to do a Green with Chrome; problem is Green is same as Burgandy; paint samples can be very different than production. So I can not know the exact color until I have had production. Last Burgandy I ordered turned out to look Black, the one before that looked like Plum!
Anyway, I would like a nice British Racing Green
and I guess if the response is not good to the Tourist Green above
I can take a shot at this color that on a tube sample looks BRG
https://www.y-s-paint.com.tw/eDM/Show...emNo=YS%207911
I would love to hear from the BRG fans! And Green fans in green
A fully lugged frameset in british racing green with chromed lugs would be sick. Also threaded fork.
For $300
Bikesdirect, quick question. I really want a Pearl White Kilo TT Pro but saw that you don't have any pictures. However on Bikeisland's website for the Kilo TT frame w/o decals, they have white ones.
Is this white the same as the complete bike?
Kilo TT PRO is in Pearl White
which is like the picture above - but Pearl finish
This bike is Pearl White
Hard to tell the difference online [and even very little diff in person]
https://www.bikesdirect.com/products/...e/gigi_pro.htm
Of course, Pearl White Kilo TT Pro is just like bike above in fact it uses the same paint
Not a bad idea [although the hubs we use are just as good as formula and factory says they are beter]
But on rims - R450 ? or would Alex SUB be better [deeper V]?
That green above looks a bit dark to me.....But it's close to what I'd expect for what people are wanting,
If you're talking about the complete Kilos, I definitely disagree with this statement. The stock hubs are sadly very ****ty. I do like the bike in general, however.
I'd agree with seedubs, just a hair too dark. You're dancing on the fence of it looking black... especially on something as narrow as a bike frame. On a car, it might pass because large broad areas would catch the light.
Though green isn't the color I'll be getting when the time comes. I'm holding out for either the right color tan, or simply gonna strip one down and have it powdercoated the color I want.
Absolutely false statement. The stock hubs on my Kilo blew out within a month.
Put Formulas laced to any decent rim and the Kilo will be 10x better.
I like the darker green, a little more cool and a little less bling. the bass boat on the Pake is nice too, chrome goes with more reserved colors. brings out the classssss.
well, if anyone wants to check, top gear did a special on the history of british racing green.
a summary though is that there is no set color that is british racing green, it's generally any dark green. I'm not a fan of the bass boat, i think the color on the tourist is perfect.
and lugged chrome frames for 350 sounds pretty sexy... if you're building lugged up as completes, do silver low profile rims. absolute sexiest would be box sectioned rims. maybe even northroad-style bars, silver everything? lol maybe i'm getting ahead of myself.
EDIT: sun cr-18's like the ones on velo orange would be perfect. then again, I probably don't have a sense of style that would sell well.
if you do the lugs, don't put the rack mounts. keep it as a frame+ fork only.
I'm talking about the formula hubs that velocity deep v's are laced to. like on ebay
Also, if you could get this wheelset on windsor hours that would be sick!
I really need to clear this statement up
We track defects and complaints on everything we sell and we have factory tests on many components.
The KK hubs [on KILO TT] and Formula hubs we use on many other bikes have had the same results for us over time in use of thousands of hubs. Defects about zero on both; and long term use reports we have had are about the same. Plus factory tests puts the hubs at close to the same.
That said: Formula has a better reputation in USA and so we may change to those.
On rims: same thing - results on rims are excellent on Kilo TT, but a rim from a company like Alex might 'sell' better {interesting note: on some bikes we spec Cane Creek brakes that customers find a better brand name than Tektro - BUT Tektro makes Cane Creek. This is common in the industry and many items are branded like that - including some very big brands branding KK hubs with their name}
I will make runing changes on any bike when it seems to make customers happier; I really like happy customers!
