Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? I gotta say Sheldon was a cool guy with a vest knowledge of bicycles but he had some odd views. For that I dont praise him like some people do but I still check out his site when I have a question. Iv learned alot from the guy.

I never met Mr. Brown. I wish I did, especially seeing that I reside only a short distance from where he called home. Putting his inhuman knowledge of bicycles aside, I understand he was an odd guy with some strange views. A lot of people from Marblehead, MA (where he grew up) are pretty eccentric, to say the least. At the end of each given day, we're all amazingly different people, each with his/her own seemingly oddball views. Speaking for only myself, I'm a total weirdo (ask my wife, she'll gladly tell you). On my part, it's not so much "praise" but rather simple respect.

I know you know what I'm saying.

I understand where your coming from. I am just say that iv read things on his site that really didnt set with me. Maybe its because im biased about what ever it was he was knocking. He had a vast amount of knowledge regarding all types and styles of bicycles and he shared it to the world. For that I thank him.

I accidentally deleted it while cleaning up my Photobucket a bit! It was a pic of the original shirt I made for myself and a few other people that said OBEY instead of RIDE. Adriano posted a pic of the one I sent him somewhere in this thread.
