Since everyone is getting these in wrong colors / sizes, why don't we start a swap thread (similar to the saddle / stem swap)? Mods?

thats actually a real good idea

Put it in the marketplace because I'm sure there are people on BF other than in SSFG that got some chrome shoes... Just post what you got and what you want. |
Just got mine...
Olive, they are a tad big, but the next size down would have probably been to small on my BIG foot. I can't complain for $10 dollar shoes. Thank you Chrome! |
Got mine yesterday in black and they fit. These are by far the stiffest shoes I've ever had. I rode with them this morning and they felt so weird compared to my sambas. They're pretty comfortable though so maybe I just have to get used to them.

Hey those look like "ARNHEM SUEDE" shoes. $90.00 Vice Kursk. You lucked out. Sweet. |
The size 13 did it for me.

Got mine yesterday (sent turds in on day 2 afternoon from Houston).
I said, "any color but green and _______" pretty sure i said brown... not positive. I received brown Midways (which are thumbnailed, but not listed for sale.. hell yeah, limited edition :D ). Guess I need to find some stuff to wear with the brown. They are a little stiff, but NOTHING like clipless mountain shoes. These are alittle stiff, but NOT solid. Size 7 feels like my Adidas size 7s, but heel to toe sole comparison makes the chromes a tad longer (1/8in?). Metal tip long laces are ANNOYING when walking around... clackity clackity wipping all over. But I just found the lace holder, so should be mo' betta'. I also noticed the very "fresh" gluey smell. There's a very small patch of reflective material on the heel too, hadn't noticed that in the pics. |

Has anyone else noticed the area around the stitching of the toe start to darken as if it were seeping moister out (adhesive?)?
I havn't bought a new pair of shoes in a long time but I don't remember that ever happening. normal? |
I didn't notice this when my shoes first arrived, but I got Midway's instead of the Kursks - which I guess is similar to what has been happening to some of the rest of you. Still no complaints though.
|
i walked around all day in them yesterday. they are NOT meant for walkin in haha but i feel like that should break them up a little bit. my toes barely cross over the rubber "cap" on the end of the shoe, but my foot doesnt slide around inside, so im happy. the liner that wraps around the very front tip of the shoe is starting to come off on mine :( hopefully my clips dont get caught.
theyre so grippy, that the first time i tried getting out of my straps, i wasnt able to and i fell haha |
Walked in mine yesterday, Nice shoes.

Got mine today... Midways instead of Kursk's.
Two things: 1) I was hoping for the Kursk (I thought that's originally what they were going to send) as they're vegan-friendly - the Midways have suede in them. 2) The reports of being 1/2 size too big are also true for me - probably even closer to a full size too large. Hoping I can find someone to give my too big, non-vegan shoes to. Free is awesome - thanks Chrome! |
Got grey midway's they came today. My fiancée got olive kursk's last week. I really like the stiff sole. I ordered them as I would chuck's as that was the recommendation they posted on there site and have no issue with the sizing. Look's like a great shoe to me.

herbsandspices, I would love em! assuming they're the right size...will pay for shipping of course and even a bit extra! size 13? :)

What does it matter if they're vegan friendly or not if you got them for free..?

I ride with these:
http://tmasga.com/TMAS-Wushu-Shoes-B...source=froogle http://www.themmazone.net/images/Fei...lack-large.jpg They are bullet proof and the most comfortable thing I've ever worn on my foot. They're flexible, not stiff, and the whole toe box is rubber coated. I found them in Chinatown in lower Manhatten for $20, and then just now Googled them for the rest of you. If you're looking for some killer messenger shoes / fixie shoes... these are them. If you Google around, you might even find them cheaper. I got them the other day and although they were one size to small (size 43) they felt really really comfortable. BTW they're to small 'cause some numbnut mentioned that they fit best when you order them one size down from what you usually wear and I believed him! So I guess that makes me a numbnut too! LOL! I sent them back and am waiting on my size 44's. ;0) |
I noticed that these things really hurt me when I walk.
I took off my socks and there was a cut on the back of my foot from these. Probably from the hard upper heel material. Anyone else have this problem? |
