Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Spelling lesson

Please people, use the proper word for what you mean.

Peddle = sell or offer for sale from place to place
PEDAL = A lever operated by one's foot that is used to control a machine or mechanism, such as a bicycle or piano

Break = interrupt: terminate; "She interrupted her pregnancy"; "break a lucky streak"; "break the cycle of poverty"
BRAKE = a restraint used to slow or stop a vehicle

There are many more but I am too lazy to write them down. Oh and sorry for wasting your time.

Let us know when you have the energy to list the rest of them.

And pictures might help us understand.

I may be new, but I know forums arent a place for perfect spelling. If i wanted to learn gramtically correct statements I would enroll into an english class... (fml i have to soon anyway). We should all know what the idea of the statement phrase is anyway. Commonsense or no?

The first time I read a word, my brain's pronunciation of it tends to get stuck in my head forever. I still think "rally" when I see Raleigh, and "peg - ott" when I see Peugeot.

This one gripes me quite a bit:

mixte = meext, not mix-tee

And then people spell it mixtee or mixty or mixtie… Ugh.

I like how this has become a pronunciation thread.

Not noticing your sig, that one took me a little bit of thinking to figure out. Did they think it was three L's or something?
