Yeah, I keep telling him that he should tape his bars, they're plugged, just nothing covering the bar. They are pretty grippy already, but I still imagine that they get cold and uncomfortable. At least some Track Grips, ya know?

Stealth looks good.

I am happy with mine, and I got it for a great price. I think they are great bikes, with good geo, and they still pop up on eBay every so often.

Yea I remember a lot of them going up about the same time I bought my 721, and they were going for crazy cheap in my size (giant size). Just sat on it b/c I was looking at a new FG frame at the time and not a road frame. Now that my 721 is put together I'm getting the itch to build another bike =/

+1

I won a $300+ frame with minimal excess machining marks for around $70... and coincidence would have it that I'm located in SD as well as leader/ coghouse. I went to a typical run to costco and picked it up at coghouse's warehouse which was next door.

Ok, sizing question. I am in between sizes on the 722, so I went with the 55 instead of 58. After riding, I am wondering if I shoul have gone with the 58. I am 5'10" and 32" inseam.

With the 55, i have a little over 2" standover. Would the 58 have been a little on the big side? Was thinking the extra 1" on the top tube would be nice, but didn't know if the frame would be big overall.

It's weird they they jump from 55 to 58...more sense to do 54, 56 & 58.

anyone else have the same delimma when sizing on these?

Scrodzilla 05-15-11 09:01 AM

Are you comfortable on the 55? How have you got it set up?

I'm 5'10" with a 32ish inseam as well and my 722 is a 58. I've got long arms though, and typically prefer bigger frames.

dignandag 05-15-11 09:10 AM

170 cranks and 90 stem with rb-018 bars....post is 5.5" high.

I have average arm length.

I am comfortable on it, but I wasn't sure if it looks like I am riding a frame too small and compensating with seat height, etc. Make sense?

Scrodzilla 05-15-11 09:18 AM

If you're comfortable on it, don't worry about it. 5.5" of seatpost is pretty normal and it sounds like you did the right thing. Post a pic?

Check the pics of my bike in the PedalRoom link below. I've got my 58 set up with a 90mm stem, 170mm crank and have just about 5" of seatpost. If I were using bullhorns instead of risers though, I'd most likely need to swap my stem for a 70mm.
