Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Bikes: Always

I wear DC Turbo 2 shoes with Origin8 Foot Straps, and the straps are great. The only problem with the shoes are that there are lips about 3" from the tips of the shoes that get caught on the straps and it causes the straps to not move up the shoe as much as I want. I've tried finding shoes that will fully accommodate the straps without looking so much like Vans and that have white soles. It's pretty hard to find such enigma's. I really do hate to say this, but from what I have seen Skecher's shoes happen to look like they would be perfect. I'm pretty sure I just had some heart palpitations from suggesting that.

Chucks are good for me, thin and flat soled.
I tried dunk sb's a few times, it was okay but i felt better with chucks for whatever reason.

Straps, for sure.

Chucks are very good for riding if you're casually going out. The only thing better than a good pair of chucks is a pair of canvas KED's. Recently, though, I started using my old brook's spike-less track shoes because of the padding and nibs up front.
