Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Deda, Cinelli, Thompson stems are cool with me.

Some generic ones work just as good to me lol.

I also used to think the FSA Vision stems were ASDF DA BOMB.

I guess I don't understand some of what is going through your minds. This is elegance

and is the reason I was reluctant to go to threaded, well that and I like my Chris King headset.

^ You could always get the 2-Nut to go threaded.

Origin8 makes a pseudo knock off of the 3T Mutant stem. It's not as curvy, but it's the same general shape. It's actually a pretty solid stem for what I got mine for ($15).

Originally picked up a velo orange stem because I needed to figure out my ideal length and angle and did not want to spend a fortune just to have to get another one. I am very happy with the quality given the price.

The mutant looks like it just got out of cold water and experienced some shrinkage. If it got excited it might turn into a positive rise stem. I guess 3T Flaccid didn't consumer test as well.
