i find ppl sell steamroollrs used very cheep (both mine i got for under 3bills, complete)

I've been wanting to get fenders on my kilo for rain. Ben's stocks a couple of thin Honjo fenders- H33 and H35. out of curiosity, I took a couple of lengths of copper wire and bent them to match the cross sections of each fender model in dimension and shape. the H35, which is 35mm wide, seemed to clear the fork and seat stays just fine, but would have to be bent or filed around the chainstays. the H33, 31mm wide and half as high as the H35, didn't seem to have any clearance issues with the frame.

this is with 25mm tires, by the way. so, I think it's possible. I want to believe it's possible, anyway.

whaaat? I'd jump on a deal like that like a trampoline. I've never seen complete steamrollers below $500. It seems like there's not a lot of people selling Surlys in L.A., at least not at the moment.
