Looking at a Jamis Sonik not a Dawes SST AL lol. I honestly don't know if I'd change anything on the stock bike if it were an 09-11. Maybe put my lighter saddle on it and re-wrap the bars but all the stock components are really nice.

I confess that I've spent about 700 extra dollars upgrading my already $700 fixed gear, yet I bought my girlfriend a Motobecane Track ($279 shipped) and convinced her that absolutely nothing needed to be upgraded (I got her new tape and gave her a different saddle and pedals from my stash, though)

We have all been there. On my last ride I was ready to back home after about an hour and a half when I had set out to ride for five or so hours. It sucks greeting over that feeling.
