Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I hate to say it but +1. I just can't handle that seat tube, if it was straight I'd be all over that *****.

Truth. However, it'd work perfectly with the stainless grips and seat that are posted in the jackass thread.

I kinda want a Gara too...

well, i gotta confess. i recently went clipless, and thought that i would never, i mean NEVER fall over before i clip out. well, after a ride in the rain, i decided to tighten up the release on them

wrong #1

at the corner of grand and bushwick, i fell. i knew this would happen. it was graceful however, and a nice gentleman offered to help me up. luckily, i was able to get my right foot out and twisted the frame so i could get my left out. but yea.

i'm now a veteran of "oh ****" club

I went to culinary school, I've worked in some of the best restaurants in the city, and at one of the top 5 in the world. I decided to open my own restaurant, had investors, had a location, had everything. Investors backed out due to the economy, and now I'm flipping burgers and making grilled cheese sandwiches at a diner making the same amount of money I made when I was 19. The funny part is that I had to lie to get this job. None of the.nice restaurants are hiring, and I'm so over qualified for the crappy ones that they wouldn't hire me, so I made up a resume. I currently hate my life.

pretty sure that right now, if you have no dependants, this is the time when you make an absolutely insane/family cant believe what you are doing/throw caution to the wind type move. put your crap in boxes and roll out.

i regret not doing this more when i was younger. take advantage. you can hate life later when you have a wife that got annoying and kids that break your ****.

edit: o you are married... well then, this is it bro.

My family is more shocked by me sticking around than anything. If I bailed it'd be the expected move, considering I've done it twice before.

Screw it. Imma move to New England. Scrod, you hiring? I can do sales, or I could be the Retrogression company chef. You could even partially pay me with bike parts.
