That's exactly how I describe it to people when they ask. I just feel alive, the wind in your face, the sounds, your body working. It's such a win-win-win situation. Commute to work, exercise and have fun all at the same time.

Had to drive today because I didn't want to deal with rain. Hated it. Adding fenders to my to-do list.

Continued to teach myself to TIG, laid my first fillet:

and landed a job as a lab tech for a physics lab at Cornell. That means I get to stay here, while making a nice living and fabricating and solving problems. So pumped about this.

Today was a good day.

AristoNYC 03-07-13 07:39 PM

I ordered this http://www.6pm.com/dakine-messenger-...fcTest=mat%3A1 after I realized how big the Timbuk2 Messenger Large was in person.

Today I got an envelope from BTD that was supposed to contain a pair of $10 wool Pearl Izumi socks, size S. Instead, they accidentally sent a pair of $110 Pearl Izumi Elite shorts... size XL, women's, black with pink accents. Umm. They're a cool store, so I let them know about the mistake, and am going to bring them back in person for an exchange. But seriously, how do you mistake a huge-ass pair of elite shorts for a $10 pair of wool socks!?

ilikebikes 03-07-13 07:44 PM

Maybe wool made them think about sheep, that made them think about a farm, which made them think about a cow, which prob reminded someone there about their fat ass wife, so said person sent you a huge ass pair of elite shorts.

cali_axela 03-07-13 07:45 PM

 that has to be the correct explanation.

They are really nice in person, especially the price, I won't be too sure on quality until I receive the prescription filled frames however. I got two pairs with lenses for less than I pay for 1 usually.
