well I am going to be re-locating back to the mountains within 40minutes of summit county (which is home to most of the major ski resorts in CO) and want to start learning how to ride some of the bike parks out there. It was something a group of friends got into in HS, and I never really got the chance to try it out due to funds, athletic invovlement, etc.

ha maybe I'm just spending too much watching their GoPros on facebook and im missing jumping bikes. Its probably not going to happen, but I'm going to start researching and scanning CL. I dont even know i they make those in a frame size I could fit on...

Today I spent two ****ing hours adjusting a set of old-ass canti's, and they still aren't right. The rear refuses to lock up. Very frustrating.

weather finally broke. will be able to ride to work for at least the next week. hopefully until next winter.

I know how to set up cantis. These are just worn out and I suspect they didn't work all that well when they were new (Deerhead).

Say what? Those should work fine. A while ago I was running cheap Shimano CT91s, and once I added some better quality SunLite canti pads and replaced the link wire for a stradle cable and yoke, they stopped great. Let's see some photos.

Hmm I never had that problem with my open paves while they lasted (yeah they didn't last too long for me, a bit better than michelin goods nonetheless), which aside from the compound are most likely blood brothers.

I have the joys of that too in a part of my house, only problem is we're on the same line and he has a slower package.

Get one! They aren't cheap as was mentioned but there's nothing like flying down a track through trees, over rocks and getting a little sideways on some loose dirt. I used to do a lot of downhill racing when I was younger but ended up selling my bike so I could buy a car when I was 17. It's not that I regret it but I seriously miss it. You get what you pay for (much more so than road bikes IMO) so if I was you i'd decide if I really wanted one then save up for something really good. And don't forget you'll go through parts quicker because of the abuse you'll undoubtedly give it.
