Today I was reminded first hand how horrid formula lockrings are. A friend asked me if I can help him with his fixed gear wheel. He came over with a formula hub with a completely chewed up formula lockring and his hozan spanner (which he tried to get it off with at first; said the aluminum slots kept deforming). Had to use a vise to get it off. Morale of today, DA lockrings are a must.

Tickets to see Phish on Wednesday. Short notice show to benefit Vermont Flood relief efforts. Should be great!

Today I rode the FTP for awhile and decided it needs to go. It's so overkill for riding around to class and I don't really enjoy it as much as I do the TET. Plus, I could buy a solid beater and partially fund a pretty nice road bike for what I can get for the FTP (or what I hope I can get).
Wheels are staying, though, 'cause they're awesome.

Today I posted a bunch of eBay listings for my duplicate Pokemon cards and the total came out to $160. And these are just my DUPLICATES! Pokemon cards are gold! Though I'll never sell my main collection.. Anyways all these ****ty random old cards will cover the cost of my new hubset. And I sold a guitar I never play to pay for my rims, spokes, and nips.

Pokemon is much too overrated now past the 150 pokemon...

i have a system: if you were born after return of the jedi was originally released in theatres you are a child.

Are your wife's cards all from the first series? Before you sell any, I want to PM you a list of the cards I still need. If you have anything I'm looking for I'll pay you exactly what it's worth. Mint condition only, of course.

I'm 20 by the way. Pokemon and Digimon will always have a special place in my heart.

I'll PM you once I find that big binder or binders full of them, I have no idea where to begin! Don't worry she only collected and girls tended to treat their cards better then guys did.

Today I tried climbing a hill with the single speed, with an 11%, with it's "breaks" being 6% for a short period of time.
Was the suck. But the decent made it all worth it. (Running 48/16 btw)

Wow, you guys have to be young. I'm 26 and felt I was too old for the cards when they came out. Loved the games though.

I know have the "power 3" (Charizard/Blastoise/Venusaur) I'd have to drive down to bakersfield to get them at my old house though. Haha I'll message you if/when I do, what are you looking for specifically?

yummy wants to sell his FTP. Bigger news than pokemon to me.
Now the catch--should we let him or convince him to keep it?

Yea I really wish I liked it more, but at this point I think I should build something more sensible.
