Dude, court, that blows. You get hit?

In other news, something happened to my left hand. For the past month I've been getting shooting pains in it every few days. Tonight I tried to squeeze my front brake lever and it felt like my middle finger was breaking. Not broken, I can move it, and for the most part it only hurts when I grip something. I think a doctor's appointment may be in order. I got hit hard on the left about a year ago. Jacked up my shoulder really badly. Think this may be residual nerve damage?

could be a number of things. best thing to do is to go to a doctor and they'll run a series of tests to see where the problem is located. if you want to avoid that route, you can just assume it's carpal tunnel and ice your wrist and take ibuprofen to keep the down the swelling that would cause carpal tunnel. but i would recommend ignoring what i just said and go to the doctor.

Yeah, wife has carpal tunnel. Different symptoms. Although, I am a prime candidate. Between drums, guitar, cooking, riding, and writing I have a lot of repetitive strain on the hands/wrists. I'm gonna make an appointment in the morning.

removed my omniums, sold them, went to kinkos, cut some boards for my project, came home and listened to some DP show while eating dinner. started to work on dinner, friend asked if he could come over and borrow curb your enthusiasm, he brought beer, got some free beer, watched some curb, went back to my project, finished, ordered a new crankset, chainring and bottom bracket. spent a good chunk of my paycheck 12 hours before it processes.

Although if I'm serious about this cyclocross thing I really should be riding my cross bike, I just had to ride the fixed gear today because I am starting to feel I have very few fixed days left this season.

Beautiful, beautiful weather for riding to work today.

Don't people say fixed is better for bad weather? (I made a rhyme)

I've heard that, but my fixed is a skinny-tire (650x23), twitchy little thing that I would not at all feel comfortable on in ice/snow/etc. Plus my expensive studded tires are 700c. I have a winter beater that I ride in the winter. It will be sad to put Pikachu away for a season, but it's the right thing to do.

Yeah, and that part of my collarbone got pushed about an inch to the rear and an inch up. It actually still sits there because I can't afford the surgery to put it back. I have insurance, but I can't afford the downtime.
