Today I was ticketed for running a stop sign.

I read that if the ticket doesn't say 'bicycle,' you can fight it on that detail alone. Is this true?

hamfoh 09-22-11 08:27 PM

just found out that my trip to austin is delayed 3 weeks and I would've had time to get a kinlin set built up. ffffuuuuu buying **** with (false) deadlines in mind

does it matter? you ran a stop sign.

Most of us do it and it is a risk we're all running.

hamfoh 09-22-11 08:32 PM

anyone know if you can reroute a shipment/cancel one after it's gone out. it's still in springfield~

redpear 09-22-11 08:32 PM

I haven't received the fine yet, and I'm not sure exactly how much it is going to cost.

If it's a lot, it's going to matter. I have a very limited budget that I don't fit traffic fines into.

:(

Just got back from a bike ride with my wife for dinner out topped with watching the sunset at the beach. The ride to and from was ridiculously stretched out to a snail crawl because my wife insisted on wearing leather sandals without a pedal swap, the kind that only have a single strip of leather between your toes and a anklet style heel strap. Made the best out of it and took my mkII along on the slow ride and took a whole bunch of memories at the beach.

California pigs will actually ticket you for running a stop sign?

adriano 09-22-11 09:58 PM

today i, broke a steel skewer and joined the slam that stem club.

calv 09-22-11 10:02 PM

Been having throbbing headaches for the past few days, just took an 800mg pill of Ibuprofen and dicked around with my new housemates 55cm chrome Kilo TT.

Things I learned and realized. Compared to my 50cm Kilo, I can stand over the bike while the top tube with my junk somewhat laying on it. The longer stem that comes with larger sized Kilo's (I think 120mm?) seemed pretty nice but I haven't taken it out for a ride yet. My guess is that I need to seriously rethink about my fitment. lol

LocoTracks 09-22-11 10:21 PM

Today I got a job as a swim coach.

adriano 09-22-11 10:22 PM

i hope you wiped it off afterward. common courtesy.

Jaytron 09-22-11 11:19 PM

Today I took a shower with my Chrome bag. Strap was getting so nasty it was starting to stain my shirts.

cc700 09-22-11 11:39 PM

I also joined that club today. I only removed one spacer, but still.

I've found that fitment isn't a hard and fast thing. I'm 6'5" and ride a 58cm comfortably, but I have a friend on a 61cm that's only 6'1".

adriano 09-23-11 12:08 AM

i cut off 0.15 pounds of metal.

Apparently...

From what I hear, San Francisco cops are cracking down on cyclists. If you live here, watch out...

That's why I always post the fit calculator.

I heard that too, around the Mission area. Rethinking about going up there for Tour De Fat. Are you going redpear?

Also, I got pulled over the other day for texting and riding... lol
