Scrodzilla 10-31-11 04:34 PM

That's rad how you mimicked the decals on the aluminum frames. :thumb:

Thanks, I'm pretty happy with how it looks. I like the minimal markings on the aluminum frames, and the stock 722 lettering was just too lame.

today I watched my friend sell a used, crashed, untrued, scratched, 2010 SE Draft, for $200... about 30 minutes after listing it on craigslist. she had 3 people waiting to see it

nobody uses google in houston

redpear 10-31-11 05:38 PM

So awesome!

Today:

I found a piece of glass in my tire, and had to replace the flat. Decided to ditch the old tube, and put a new one on. 2 minutes after I replaced it, I found another piece of glass which punctured the new tube.

So I had to patch my brand new tube. Sigh, my fault for not going over the tire more carefully

yummygooey 10-31-11 09:51 PM

I love patch kits.

EpicSchwinn 10-31-11 09:54 PM

That always sucks. I remember doing that with my 29er not too long ago. 3 patches in one night :(

Leukybear 10-31-11 11:30 PM

Today me and my wife handed out ~40+ lbs of candy. The joys of children with smiles on their faces. :D

Looks great! I'd steal the idea if our bikes weren't so similar already. :) How did you go about making the decals or did you order them / have them made? I've been looking at different DIY vinyl decal methods and might have a go at it here soon.

Rode to the bar to watch Monday Night Football...came out to a flat tire which I assume was a pinch flat from the deep pothole I hit right when I got to the bar.

and then some friends and I went on the most epic pumpkin smashing conquest ever.

I work at a screen printing shop and we have a vinyl cutter there(for names/numbers on sports shirts and stuff), so I just designed the stuff at home and cut it at work. I could cut some of whatever you'd like for cheap, just send me a PM with what you want(and sizes if possible).

Rad dude, ill get something drawn up and give ya a pm soon. What format do you prefer? Jpeg?

In order to cut something on a vinyl cutter, the file has to be vector(.ai, .eps, .svg, .cdr; from CorelDraw or Adobe Illustrator, there are some free programs too). As long as it's relatively simple, I can just retrace it in Illustrator from your jpeg. If you use a specific font, just let me know what it is so I don't have to hunt it down.

Very impressed. Maybe I should do something like that on the Kagero once it gets built up.

Thanks. Do the Kagero decals not come applied?

I'm pretty sure they come with them on. ;)

Otherwise that would make it too easy for leader to pull a cinelli bolt; just replace the 2011 in "LDPC2011" to "LDPC2012".

The only decals that are under the clearcoat are the head badge, top tube and a small one on the down tube near the BB. The others come on an optional decal sheet. Also, the 2012 model will be a different color. I know what it is but I'm not telling.

Doo doo brown?

I was thinking of putting a decal where the 722 is like what ddeadserious did. I'm really infatuated with the ∞ symbol. :innocent:

Less talking; more doing. :thumb:
What's stopping you? There's members here with vinyl cutters.
