I sure wish those came with a 26mm clamp area. I think the only compact drops for 26s are the Soma Highway 1s.

Me too. The next best choice for 26.0mm drops would be Nitto Noodles... but they certainly aren't compact.

I heard through the ol' grapevine that a certain shop a lot of you guys frequent recently placed an order for some Hwy Ones.

Well, technically yesterday here in NJ, but today I lost a good friend of the family, who happened to save me from getting mauled/killed by an aggressive dog to cancer.

yummygooey 12-07-11 11:50 PM

Condolences.

calv 12-07-11 11:51 PM

1/8th turn at a time and mark where you started with a piece of electrical tape.

calv 12-08-11 12:08 AM

Are the spokes supposed to be like noodles until you true it? Since I had to move everything downstairs to use my bicycle fork, I'll just start on the rear wheel then true it some other time..

Today on my way to work, I hit a pedestrian on the Lakefront Path. Dude was carrying a duffle bag under each arm, and had a roller bag in each hand, and was taking the entire bike lane part of the path. I called out "on your left" and he moved to the left, which is where I didn't want him to be. Ran into him and heard glass breaking when I went down. He insisted that I pay for the glass articles, but I refused since he (IMHO) was in the wrong. I said that we could call the cops and have them figure it out, but he freaked out and was adamant about the police not being involved. He said he'd take care of it as long as they didn't come. I think I smashed his bong...

Same here. That's why you always see me praising bicycle bells. They are true miracle workers.
