I love it except for the riser bars. Sorry but anything purpose built for the track should have drops of some sort. No exceptions, IMO.

Everything else though is wonderful

Today I continue my eBay battle for a 0 setback post. One of these days when nobody is looking I'm going to get away with one.

Those thomson (silver) posts are always hanging around. ~$30 if you continue being patient like you are. If you want something NOW Nashbar sells some Nashbar brand no setback posts that look a bit like the Thomsons. I saw what you had before so maybe you're after something without texture. But that's going to be more challenging.

I checked out nashbar but couldn't find what you were describing. I'll probably just end up being patient on eBay though.

A Tale Of 3 Companies

1> citygrounds sent me the wrong gloves about a week ago. told them this via email. a few days later they got back to me and asked for the part # on the gloves they sent me. I gave them it and the # for the gloves I was supposed to get (it was one number off). Then I didn't hear back from them since then.

Then I emailed them this morning, and still nothing.

2> Similar situation with those 722s I got from coghouse. Talked to someone who was aware of the problem on Friday, had to send another email today. Was told nothing could happen until they hear from their boss (I'm okay with keeping most of it, but one of the forks looks like it was in the "Otis" video). I brought up that there's no way I could turn around and relist anything they sent me as a new item, so they shouldn't do it either. Hopefully the 'boss' over there can let their employee know what they're allowed to do as far as returns or compensation goes

3>Meanwhile Universal Cycles had to delay a package of mine, but told me they would be sure to upgrade my shipping so I was still to get the product in 5 business days. Once they sent it out, it was sent by ground. No big deal, but still a bummer and I talked to the guy who told me he had to delay the package that it wasn't upgraded. He apologized and credited by account $20 within a few hours.

One of these stories is how you get repeat customers. It's why Scrod and UC are where I buy 98% of all my parts (if they sell them).

Today I was walking back from lunch and saw a guy walking with a campy front hub (on backwards), gatorskins, and Mavic MA40 rims, aka the front wheel that was stolen from me a month ago. Hope to see him tomorrow and possibly confront him about it.

Hope he just gives it to me/runs away and leaves entire bike. I'll bring my posse.

By the time I processed what had happened he was gone. It really took like 5 minutes to sink in.

And honestly I'm a pretty non-confrontational person so it didn't occur to me on the spot.

Find him and beat him to a pulp (pending you figuring out it's yours) so we can all giggle from our computer desks and be entertained by the awesome story.

Today my 721 frameset from Coghouse came in the mail. No problems here. The frame looks awesome and the polished aluminum fork is sexy as hell. Need to get a headset installed asap, I'm itching to ride it.

Today I went to a couple bike shops to ask for a quote on a headset install. One jackass shop quoted me $70 for install + prep.

Bwaaaht?!

My lbs installed my threaded headset, cut my fork, and gave me a new bearing race for under $25.

Makes me wonder how places that charge so ridiculously high survive.

You might as well just buy the headset press for that price.
