The axle change was to go to a 9/16th axle, so I could run my 14mm axle adapters, the hub came with a 10mmx1, which is too big for the adapters.

I've always had terrible luck with sram chains, so I should have known better on that part and had gotten a kmc or shimano chain instead.

I've put about 1000 miles fixed on my SRAM chain, and that includes rain, sand, and trails. Maybe you ride harder than I do, but I ride pretty damned hard.

On the 930, I'm easy on the rear wheel, but I seem to put a hurting on front wheels. I've also snapped an Isis BB spindle way back when I last had a kona just from putting torque on it when riding hard.

To be fair I didn't destroy a front wheel until this year and 2 of the 3 were radial laced wheels and was involved in a run in with a car the third was just from old age. The 32 3 cross that is on the 930 right now has been trouble free. *knocks on wood*

I'm clean other than being on coumadin for the rest of my life, I'm just strong. The bottom bracket was just from a bad batch of bottom brackets from FSA.

jimmytango 12-14-11 11:03 PM

Oooo. Coumadin sucks man. My sister was on that **** and hated it. Bloated and **** all the time.

Dannihilator 12-14-11 11:16 PM

I don't let it hold me back. In a ways, it has made me a much smarter rider.

Bought Gatorskins and rim strips. Mounted em. Put my 721 on its new wheelset (Formulas to Deep Vs). Put the old wheels back on the Affinity. Now I have two sw8 fixays.

I'm half filipino but that never comes to anybody's mind when they first see me.

Mostly people say I look mexican.

Today I'm starting to feel pretty proud of my grades this semester, 5 finals down.. 1 left.

TMonk 12-15-11 07:21 AM

Today I got asked to come into work a little early, so I was up by 4:45am and will be hitting the trainer promptly.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEAHHHHH!

I think I spent the first 5 min awake sipping coffee and spacing out in the same spot, staring at my girlfriend still in bed.

warningfs 12-15-11 08:05 AM

Rode 18 miles (a new record) to my favorite brewery for a tour of the place.

LesterOfPuppets 12-15-11 09:44 AM

I'm hoping that's another "Yesterday I..." or you're closer to GMT than I am...

jimmytango 12-15-11 10:20 AM

Tonight, the first plates are going to be coming out of the kitchen at my new restaurant. I'm nervous as Hell. We still aren't open, but the primary investor wanted to have a party so we're doing it. As nervous as I am, the excitement is stronger.

hairnet 12-15-11 10:25 AM
