Literally laughed out loud. Thanks for that Schwinn.
So last page I said we should take our bikes out to Chicago and ride with some of the BFSSFG guys. You need to buy a SS/FG for this. |

Meh, those aren't bad. My favorites of theirs are Songs For The Deaf and Rated R. I'm also a big fan of the Eagles Of Death Metal stuff Josh did with Jesse Hughes.
Edited to add: also Kyuss. \m/ |

...had almost given up on getting my crazy 1984 Trek 620 Single Speed 'Cross build completed, but I came away from the bike shop with some old cantis (with not-so-old Kool Stops), a 17T Freewheel, and a sugino left crankarm, and some narrow chainring bolts all for $15. I bought the guys at the shop a pizza and plate of grape leaves for a tip.
Rode around town in the wind a bit, stopped by the local Occupy encampment for awhile, then rode home. Nice day. |

Today I rode 6.5 miles, my longest ride since getting my first fixie a few weeks ago(and my first bike period in like 10+years. My legs are serious noodles and I'm so out of shape from years of my previous hobby(online gaming). Its seriously embarrassing how out of shape I am for a skinny, relatively young guy - but it feels good to be back on the right track.
My gearing kind of sucks(48x15) for my level of fitness, and I'm 50-50 weather I should just tough it out, or get a bigger cog. I basically got the bike for cardio - but I end up being smoked after about 25 minutes of riding :( Ah well, a little bit every day. |

No wonder your legs feel like noodles. Gear down, dude, that's track race gearing you've got there. Throw on a 17 or 18 tooth cog, and spin spin spin. |

Today, I rode 4 miserable miles against the with a friend and his girlfriend, who kept having to stop, then rode 4 miles back with the wind at our backs in a quarter of the time. It wasn't my favorite ride, but even the worst time spent on my bike is better than sleeping til 1. |
