I'm pretty sure you just have to mess with ****, and finally find what works for your setup.

I've run two different 710SL on two different drivetrains and always get some amount of noise.

My 710SL runs dead quiet on my steel commuter w/ a phil cog. But it's a chainsaw on wheels on my vigorelli with the same exact drivetrain.

Very tempted to try out the devil chain as the one on my daily is on the way out.

I've had a couple of K710SL chains that were louder than others.

Angie had one last year that sounded like a ****ing chainsaw. She swapped it for another on the same chainring/cog and it doesn't make a peep.

Weird.

^ wtf is that, hahahaha.

Went to my LBS to ask about tapered headsets for the china carbon frame, had a good talk about that. The owner then somehow reminded himself about the GP4000S's that I bought yesterday, and that he accidentally overcharged me. He thought I bought supersonics, so it was $125 for the pair, and his GP4KS's are $105 for the pair. He was ready to give me the 20 bucks back and remembered about a month ago I asked about a second mount kit for my computer, which would run $28, so he said he could just get me that instead and call it even.

Pretty awesome guy.

Amazon, yes they will be hearing from me. Although it seems very strange. It is the tab portion you snag with your foot to flip the pedal over. It snapped clean off, although im careful and do not recall losing it. So it's still fully functional but less convenient.

GR-9s are notorious for that.

today (well, yesterday) I had a part of my pedal snap off. oh no! after 20-30 years of use!

Campagnolo is expensive to replace. Don't know what to do, really. Maybe I'll dig around online for a replacement.

Thanks Scrod, that helps me feel like its less of a newbie mistake or something. Like I said, they still work and slipping in will only get quicker with practice.

They usually come with the frame or you can purchase the one that's manufacturer recommended/ OEM with the retail version.

Nothing was mentioned on the product page. So LBS owner said to bring it in, have it measured, and have one installed.

Works for me. I'll have the faces cleaned up too while he has it.
