today i'm thinking about tools.. bottom bracket tool? chainring tool? maybe just a nice set of allens with a ratcheting handle? maybe a 15mm ratchet? don't really know. the day is young..

Today is day 1 of no smoking...feeling pretty good so far, but the day is young. No real plans for the rest of the day.. Get off work, mow the lawn, ride to the grocery store and get stuff to make spaghetti, maybe stop at the liquor store and get a 6 pack of IPA?

Yay new bars/tape! Took a while because I was being a perfectionist about the tape job - kept unwrapping and starting over.

That's only when you unwrap after the adhesive was able to fully adhere via riding with the bars after awhile. You have some amnesty while applying bar tape.

Today I saw a shimano bike, a maroon campagolono frame with flacon shifters and horrible lug work and a cologna mountain bike.

update: just came from citygrounds. put on another bolt, apologized and said that the prebuilt bikes from bianchi come 90% assembled, plus that it came from their long beach store. he made sure everything was tight.

Thanks for the well wishes guys... swelling has come down further which makes it look more like an allergic response than an infection and now the arm just hurts a fair bit.

Guess it is time to reload on (non narcotic) painkillers and go for a little ride... think that keeping my circulation up can only help and my legs and back need to get stretched out.

Made power bars yesterday and just had one of those... will have to burn off a few of those 400 plus calories too.

of the the "non-drowsy" formulas just include a little bit of pseudo-ephedrine it.. could be why ;)

Today I test rode some tadpole trikes at the local recumbent bike shop, they are so awesome

Went for a short ride, cursed the humidity, came home and watched trailer park boys. Now I'm drinking coffee, waiting to don my chef's jacket and go into my second day of work.

I finished a climb that, before today, I hadn't yet been able to finish without stopping. :) (I'm a new rider.)

I do this regularly.

It was just the first time I did it down here; nice and wide urban sprawl streets. Gotta love it for biking aside from having to drive 20mins just to get anywhere.

I let my son get his temporary license and let him drive around a few blocks. I'm not ready for this. He can do 35mph down a local hill with his bike and I don't completely panic, yet he's driving 20mph through the neighborhood and I'm on the edge of my seat hoping he doesn't hit anything. Go figure.
