today ben from Cinelli USA got in contact with me to ship my Mash back to them for evaluation. was told it 'should be fine' but they want to look at it anyway. there's got to be a better way than having me lose the frame for 2 weeks

I asked if I could take it to our cinelli dealer in Houston for an evaluation instead, hopefully I hear what I want

hamfoh 07-02-12 03:04 PM

edit: they're going to send me a label to ship. guess i'll just suck it up

I just taught my wife how to ride a bike.

http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=259439

She was digging the Globe Roll 1. Good times.

In other news, dude at the shop told me that he'd sell me the last 62cm Steamroller frameset they have at cost just to get it out of his shop. Payday is Friday, but I have bills and I promised my wife she could get the next bike. But frameset doesn't equal bike, right?

AristoNYC 07-02-12 03:36 PM

I ordered a Nashbar Carbon fork for my 722ts build and sent back the Chrome Leader S803 fork (it felt like it weighed as much as the frame)

GENESTARWIND 07-02-12 03:42 PM

lemme know what you think of that fork would you

Dangerous territory, if I were you I wouldn't test those waters haha.

I dunno man... It's my size and it's nice. I could (in theory) swap all of my components over to the new frame without buying anything other than a couple tools.

Dannihilator 07-02-12 05:35 PM

Today I put in a spirited 86 miles.

RGNY 07-02-12 07:41 PM

two hour cruise around town with about 20 folks from the local co-op/collective/bike cult. quick pint afterwards.

have to put in five hours tomorrow, then i'm off until next Monday.

looking forward to: fireworks, finishing -two- builds, riding with the wife and going to the movies.

not looking forward to: cutting down a stand of saplings, clearing brush and weeding the garden.

Nagrom_ 07-02-12 08:47 PM

I kinda want a GoPro....

Today Angie and I ultimately decided that we will most likely move to somewhere in southern California relatively soon. We set a one-year goal (and are very good at sticking to our goals). Retrogression West, FTW.

I also decided that I need to start another band. I don't miss the grind of being on tour all the time but I do get a craving for making heavy music, recording and playing live occasionally. I recently bought a well-played '62 Fender Jaguar from a semi-famous friend of ours and it seems to be possessed by extremely creative/mischievous demons so anything can happen.

Come north. We need you. Put iMinusD out of business pl0x.

Today I got a haircut.

calv 07-02-12 08:51 PM

To the north!

Scrodzilla 07-02-12 08:51 PM

Dude, we're going to put iMinusD out of business regardless of where we end up.

nuhtowel 07-02-12 08:53 PM

I'm not a fan, when I order stuff it comes so fast.

Open one up north too, I'll run it.

Let's do this.

You know what? That's ****ed up and I retract my statement. We're not out to put anyone out of business and like I always say, at the end of the day we all need to eat. There are just different ways of doing things and we're on the extreme opposite end of shops that need to call themselves "boutiques".

That's commendable.

Anti Boutique would you say?

Mumonkan 07-02-12 09:06 PM

hope i can visit my cousin @ northeastern before you guys move, had planned on secretly deciding to bring my bike on a visit and take a ride up to RG (lol priorities)

Scrodzilla 07-02-12 09:08 PM

We'll be here for a while, man. Come on up!

Exactly. You buy $250 jeans at a boutique. You get your bike worked on at a bike shop.

calv 07-02-12 09:11 PM

That's what I like to hear, dude!

Nagrom_ 07-02-12 09:13 PM

Yo scrod. If you guy's do end up moving to SoCal, Cali BFSSFG needs to have a meet up in Central CA.

calv 07-02-12 09:18 PM

I call shotgun in Nagrom' car!
