Today I:
My experience: some good, some bad (talking about frames here). You really won't know what you are getting until you have it in your hands. I don't hesitate to buy parts, though.

If you get ripped off somehow and file a claim, eBay ALWAYS sides with the buyer.
yeah ebay basically tells sellers to go f themselves. i've had some buyers try to burn me in the past
30ish miles today. didn't drink enough water before I went and had my pants riding up my crotch the whole effing time. ugh

I also had questions for the seller before I bought the bike (both times), so it did help my decision that the seller seemed like a honest and nice person and not just someone who wanted a quick buck.
I would definitely inquire about whether the seller knows how to properly pack bikes for shipping (or will be having a shop do it), because it doesn't matter what condition the bike is in if it gets effed up during shipping.
For example, the seller of my first ebay bike did not put a fork block in the fork, and one dropout was slightly crushed during shipping. Fortunately, it was a steel fork, and I was able to bend it back into shape with a wrench, which saved both the seller and me the trouble of having to return the bike.
If the seller is actually knowledgeable about bicycles (i.e. has more knowledge about the bicycle than what they copied from bikepedia), I would consider that a big plus and feel more confident in my purchasing decision.

Today I didn't bring water or a clif bar to my weekly monday night ride and did 45mi before I started to bonk hard and had to stop. There was no way I was going to be able to bike home, so I called up a friend to give me a ride. #feelsbadman

I get my cast off Wednesday. I'll probably need a new one for another two weeks though.
today I didn't really want to get on the bike so I took a short climb.

haha I haven't ridden anywhere less than 3,000 ft elevation since last August. As crazy as it seems to ride at 5,000+ elevation all the time, when I go into the mountains and ride at 7 or 8,000 plus I hurt bad. I'll be in Seattle beginning of June if you want to cruise!
bought some used XT 9spd shifters and cassette for the GT. still no wheels and frame needs some parts(derailleur stop, canti posts)
Today I test rode a Cannondale CAAD10 5 105 and really enjoyed. I'd like to try one with the Rival group though.
Today I:

and then I:

with some Hot Doug's sausage in the middle and some beer at the end. It was a slow 25 miles, because the dude I was riding with is an older guy on a fully loaded touring rig and he doesn't go fast. I ramped up to about 30 when he said to open up, and I completely lost him. On the other hand, it was very relaxing to ride aimlessly at a cruising pace. The second picture is from a bird sanctuary a few miles north of downtown. Pretty fun. Now to go drink Zombie Dust and play nerdy board games.

Today work asked, hypothetically, if I would take a lead position if offered it.
I told them, hypothetically speaking, yes.

Me too. LOL It's funny because all the older bike commuter guys on the train were talking about it too.
One got nagged by his wife so much that he bought 2 grand worth of stock to shut her up. OPH I want to ask him how that conversation is going right about now.

Yeah, I know a guy who got 150 shares. I don't really know why people want it... I mean, where can Facebook (as a company) go from here? I can't see them getting any more popular, all they can do is fall.
