-wabi wheel set (was going to have a set built up but this seemed to satisfy my needs)
-S300 crankset

just gotta wait for parts to arrive and wait for my store credit to City Grounds (sent back the chrome leader fork & ordered a nashbar carbon) so I can order my saddle ( Selle San Marco Regal Saddle Carbon Steel Black )

today i did a fun 36ish miles and my phone gps signal crapped out on the biggest climb of the run

was my first time on the hill and i wanted to make segments and see stats :(

saw a rotund gentleman riding a huffy something or other hybrid bike with aerospokes front & back

and i also established that at least half of the roadies on this island ride TT bikes and i dont really understand why

today i will be buying brake cable and throwing my front brake on. had a close call last night and its finally starting to hit me that vegas drivers are all horrible and out to get me.

It's like 30000000 degrees in my kitchen at work. This blows.

Just rode a super slow 15miles with a friend that doesn't ride bikes. It was pretty meh. As I and the friend split apart, he ran a red light( with absolutely no cars around), and some old dentist yelled at him.

The dentist's name is Dale. He is no dentist. We paired up and did about 25ish miles, climbed about 5k feet. Real nice guy. Hell of a rider.

He was on some carbon bike that I've never heard of, and some set of alloy Easton's.

I was on the Kilo..... 47/15...... I did not plan to climb today.....

He's a retired physicist, so we talked about the Higgs boson for a good bit.



Hope I run into him again.

Ridley SSCX is done but for bar wrap. was miserable working in either the shade or the garage, so hot/humid, but so worth it. worst part was that the chain tensioner is at the extreme end of lateral adjustment, as i'm running the ring on the inside of a double.

fork for the Pake SS/part bin/lockup should be here tomorrow....

also sharpened my favorite hatchet and cleared a stand of saplings the stupid squirrels decided i needed. :/ now time for strip steak, corn on the cob and salt potatoes before heading out for fireworks......

Sitting at work watching a Johnny Cash dvd while drinking New Glarus Raspberry Tart with co-workers. Awesome. Soon, I will be at home sitting in a cool bath, drinking scotch and smoking a fat Cuban. Relaxing is good.

Today during my ride to work I realized something, and I dwelled on it during my shift. I'm done letting people walk on me. I'm a good person, and I treat everyone well, yet most people just **** me over, and in return I kept being nice. **** it. I'm done being a nice guy to people that **** me.

Edit: I just got chased by an SUV after the driver yelled, "you're gonna die tonight fixie f****t." He kept swerving around me and slamming his brakes when he got in front of me. I lost him by ducking down an alley, killing my lights, and hiding behind a dumpster. People piss me off. I think he was just trying to scare me (in which case he succeeded) because he never came to a complete stop when he hit the brakes in front of me. ****ing ******* piece of ****. I'd like to put that **** on a bike for one ****ing day and have him get harassed by cagers and see if he ever ****ing tried that **** again. I wish I'd had my lock handy. He'd be missing a window or two right now. *******.

Today I... am chained to my desk and nursing/licking my slip-n-slide wounds from yesterday. Apparently someone thought it would be fun to put the slip-n-slide on top of some gnarly tree roots. my forearm and hip are a bit raw/tender. totally worth it though! had a good time out in the burbs with some friends yesterday. drank some good beers, tossed the frisbee around, stuffed my face and slipped & slided.
Came back to the city/warzone just in time for nightfall. Now I'm just wondering when the folks who lit all those fireworks in my neighborhood are going to come clean them up?

I wish I'd gotten the plate number. I couldn't make it out in the middle of the ****.
