This is exactly what I thought. Looks like a shiny paint job and a fancy camera to me.

Worked for a bit, split early to ride down to Navy Pier (shudder) to hang out with some of my wife's family that I haven't seen in a while. Had more fun than I thought I would. Walked to Millennium Park to go to a noise/electronic concert with my friend Nick and this dude Jason that I make music with sometimes. Now I'm headed home to make a tall whiskey and ginger and read some comics. Damn, this has been a good day.

A lot of things. I'm a touch behind because I work a lot, but I read Deadpool, Daomu, Locke And Key, Walking Dead, The Boys, and a ton of one-shots. I just got Before Watchmen, but I haven't read it yet. Looks awesome though.

Fantastic. Absolutely bizarre though, haha. It's worth a read.

jimmytango 06-07-12 11:26 PM

I enjoy bizarre. Jesus Hates Zombies, Afrodisiac, Milk & Cheese, and Jim Mahfood's Stupid Comics are some of my favorites.

Also, Action Philosophers is awesome.

Looks like I have a few things to look into now. You should enjoy Sweet Tooth then.

Walking Dead(although I'm behind a few issues), Sweet Tooth, The Stuff of Legend(waiting for more...), American Vampire, Skull Kickers, more, those are just off the top of my head... Not many super heroes interestingly...

Soo__Fuego 06-08-12 12:41 AM

Installed Delrin bushings in the rear suspension of my Celica.

nuhtowel 06-08-12 06:53 AM

You guys should read Scott Pilgrim. So funny.

trrubicon06 06-08-12 06:53 AM

Forgot my wallet at home and was 10 minutes from work on my 30min. drive before realizing:(

yummygooey 06-08-12 07:05 AM

Better than forgetting your wallet 150 miles into a 2000+ mile drive.

Answered your question eventually lol.

They had this awesome sandwich that they were making. It was something called "Pretzel bread", which was the size of a dinner roll, pesto, mozzarella, and a slice of turkey. So good.

Pretzel buns are the ****. I mourn that you are just now discovering them, but now that you know you will seek them out everywhere. There's a sandwich place in Chicago called Hannah's Bretzel that has great sandwiches, most on pretzel buns. So good.

Mumonkan 06-08-12 08:15 AM

trader joes sells little pretzel hoagie size rolls individually

theres also a place in philly called millers twist that has pretzel icecream cones, ive yet to make the pilgrimage to try it although anyone ive heard mention it says its the best thing ever

YESSS. The place in Kenosha, WI where we stop for a lunch break during our Chicago-Milwaukee Century has pretzel ice cream cones. Was too full of double bacon cheeseburger last year to try one, but this year I am saving room.

Kuma's Corner?

Garlic mayo so good, line to get a table so bad.

ddeadserious 06-08-12 09:17 AM

HNNNNNG Waited 3 hours to eat at Kuma's last time I was there. So worth it.

yummygooey 06-08-12 09:28 AM

Usually I am a "worth it to try it once" kind of guy, but I would wait for Kuma's again. Or maybe it's just because I'm craving a good burger right now at 8:30am.

Same here. Too bad I brought canned ravioli for lunch. Everything is the worst.

Oh jeez...Sounds like a nightmare:cry:

ddeadserious 06-08-12 09:35 AM

That does sound like the worst thing.

misskaz 06-08-12 09:45 AM

Today I got a response from my alderman to a letter I sent about cycling safety in my ward. I'm feeling kinda geeked out about being involved in the betterment of my neighborhood, even if all I did was complain a bit. (Ok, a lot.) But I am hopeful that things will get better for cyclists around here.
