That reminds me of one of my favorite sayings - "only users lose drugs"

Mind sharing the details? Was it locked good?
got my wabi wheels, realized I ordered 3/32 cogs with them. I just ordered some 1/8th cogs & other goodies from Scrod.
just managed to re-built my bike by my own after a small little incident on its frameset
now it looks like this...

notice the black seatstays on it?
well, like it or not here's the story...
yesterday when I want to stick up a new sticker I found these on its seatstay........

so I quickly stripped up the bike (except the crankset & headset)...as you can see, there's the cracks on the lower left of the seatstay

feeling ****ed up, then I went straight to the nearest bike shop and ask if they could weld the cracks
they said they could do it but with more time because of the thin tube (Reynolds 531), but then I ask them to do it as fast as they could because I want to go to Jakarta for FixedFest 2012 on Friday (btw, if you know the event then you MUST come here to Indonesia!) *ads* LOL
and thank God, the mechanic did their best job and I could picked up my frameset today

so the reason for the black seatstays is just because I felt weird about the welded only on the left side, so I wrapped it with black duct tape to cover it but on both sides to look a bit "normal" LOL
well, I think I should restore it to its original paintjob soon enough (maybe after FixedFest)
or just sell the frames for a cheap price and then buy a cheap track frames
still confuse which one should I choose....

If it's got that much damage in the stay it's not inconceivable that the rest of the frame may have issues as well. If that was mine I'd just hang it on the wall and find another 80s road frame.
Regular updates from Fixed Fest plz.

hellooo, unemployment guy here LOL...no money income, well at least for now
so, maybe sell the frames for a cheap price will be the right answer...and I def want a track frames for the replacement, no more convertion xD
well the event haven't started yet, more info you can check their website at https://www.fixedfest.com

Today I took the fixed gear out and hung out with some bros to get food at "Off the Grid" a local food truck event for lunch.
Today I had a ****ty argument with a close friend, and immediately afterward I found out that my chef, who is one of the best people I've ever worked with is likely leaving the industry for good within the next three weeks, and my restaurant is starting to fall apart. Thus far, not a great day. I'm thinking about skipping going out tonight and just riding around for a while.

Today, my eye doctor(s) think this grossness is inflammation due to some sort of viral infection, so they gave me antiviral eye drops. I opened the package and see the structure of the active ingredient, its a modified deoxyuridine with a CF3 group bound to the nitrogenous base, so the virus can no longer replicate after that base is incorporated. science is neat.

Had a great singletrack session, right up to the point where I stopped looking down the trail and brained myself on a low-hanging branch.
Stayed on the bike though.

Yep, a bike ride is definitely in order.
So, ten minutes into my ride, I got asked/agreed to be filmed for a bike movie called "Alleycat" that Misskaz's bike gang is helping with. The chick that is making the movie wants me to either race in the alleycat they're throwing for it or be an extra.
Now I'm drinking one of the best cocktails ever, while talking to the guys that do PR and marketing for Malört and they are considering having my business partner and I go on a Malört-spreading trip throughout the Midwest.
TLDR: I lead the most random life of anyone ever.

Today I spent some time doing scales and finger exercises on the geetar. I think I want to be a rock star.
Tomorrow I have a job interview, and depending on how it goes I might be making a decision about which coast I'm going to live on for the foreseeable future.
