Rambled around Queens with my friend, a roadie, for something over 30 miles. Lots of hills, some of them steepish. Stock (46/15) gearing on a TimeLine. Interesting and fun. Stopped by the Kissena Velodrome and watched some riders taking laps (at least three of whom were riding WTHs; I think it's the class/rental bike) there. Epic: Seeing it up close definitely makes me want to take a stab at track racing. Wow.

Today I downloaded Strava on my phone. Can't wait to find out just how much I've been riding weekly with work commutes and other random stuff. How accurate is it on elevation/distance/speed?

Today I realized that specialized LBS's are a love/ hate thing... win for clearance prices on non-specialized goods on the out and lose because of specialized merchandise dissemination being the reason. Took a pretty big hit considering this shop was my nearest sidi, fizik, michelin, lazer, and selle _____ dealer.... =/

I was super stoked too, until I forgot to use it for a month...

Today I had the ****tiest day of work ever, but made up for it by drinking all of the rare beers at a friend's house party. Rode most of the way home with Kaz. Man, it was a good night.

Today I am recovering and trying to decide if I want to head to Pitchfork for the last day.

I also have no face because Godspeed You! Black Emperor melted it off with their awesomeness last night.

Today it was misting as I passed a hayfield that they're baling. Fresh cut grass in the morning mist is the best smell in the world.

Today I am recovering from working a 12 hour shift, then completing the tough mudder on Mount Snow VT, then working a 10 hour shift right after.

How long is not long, and how often do you skid? I've had a set for about 6 weeks now.

ive had mine since the end of april (800+ miles), and ill be honest the first couple weeks i was skidding all over thinking thats how i should slow down. the past 2 months or so i only skid once going down a hill that was much steeper than expected and had some youngins on it

front tire is fine though, i think they just dont take a lot of skidding abuse. im sure if i had been riding without skids the whole time it would be fine

What ones were they? I work there but have like none of the clothes they sell. If they last I might have to give them a shot haha

agreed.

(although cow manure on tilled earth is right up there...)

my grandfather would hire my friends and i every summer to put in hay, only around 800 bales, but that's how we earned money for the county fair. every time i smell a hayfield my mind immediately inserts the smell of hot funnel cakes to go with it....

Today I sold the last bits of my Kagero that I'm going to sell.

I sold my Omniums to a friend who is determined to run 48/16 brakeless and is being an idiot about my recommendations to gear up or run a brake.

Today Angie stepped on a skate buried in the sand at the beach and it's spines ****ed up her foot pretty good. It wasn't very fun.

What kind of skate? Why was it buried in the sand? I'm confused.
