I have a 2004 Mazda 3 hatchback, purchased new at the time, and I love that car. Still no problems with it (though it's only got 25k miles on it because city life).

Bikes: everywhere

Today I'm @ the VancouverUSA Marathon finish line wondering where the free snacks are. Any crit this big would have cute college girls feeding me a constant supply of Clif and Luna bars. Here? No food samples. I do have about a gallon of Viso in the backpack tho.

Bikes: See my sig...

Went out for breakfast with my best friend (that isn't my wife)... she and I celebrated our 5th anniversary over the best breakfast in the city and laughed about many things... like when people thought we were a couple.

Drinking buddies yes... and did we party our asses off ?

Hell yes.

But we have never been anything except the closest two friends could be.

NOw I have a few minutes to rest up and then have to go teach a workshop on winter cycling so with the CCM hung in it's spot I will have to bust out the Puginator... there is no way I am riding my ice bike across the city in this weather.

Moor roomy than I'd thought too. I'm 6'3" and have ample leg room in any seat. Remember when you, MisterKaz and myself were in it, plus my drums? Yeah, little-big-car.

Today I think I decided that if I do well on the GRE this upcoming saturday, I'm going to build a commuter road bike or cyclocross bike since I have an entire bike minus a frameset and front wheel in my closet from my wrecked roadie.

Today I decided I want a roadbike. I think I have more fun on them. Also I should get pedals/shoes. My feet started to hurt after 110 miles.

This. Some dude lost it on me today because he stripped his stem's Allen bolt with some ****ty multi tool in the parking lot after he bought it. Er, wut? Someone went pee-pee in aging bro-dude's gene pool methinks.

Finally started to convert one of the Eddy Merckx (Falcon) road bikes to a SS. Been thinking about it for about a year.

Totally forgot about that wagon! All this praise is good too. Anyhow today I went all over looking @ sti & a4 wagons; newer models apparently hold their value very well and dealerships are willing to low ball me hard for my current ride.

Today I climbed Mt. Tam, and afterwards took a trip around Paradise Loop.

In a car.

Today I checked out where I used to do my shuttle sessions. Good grief has it been watered down. All the fun stuff is gone and technical section were blocked off and easy bypasses created. So a bit bumemd about that, then went and put in a street ride in.

Bikes: Several, mostly not name brands.

Today I report on yesterday's ride: my first fixed-gear century. It was hard, particularly the 20+ miles into a 20MPH headwind. Hit some gravel and crashed at about mile 90 but got up and finished anyway. Remarkably pain-free today.

Just the general, none of the programs I'm looking at requires a subject test (which is awesome)

Today I was riding my bike with my sqrlfriend, and we stopped by her doctor friends house. He's really in to mountain biking, but bought a campy equipped madone to train for a 100 mile mtb race. I had some serious bike envy, along with car envy. He offered to let me drive his new maserati race car haha

Bikes: everywhere

Today I spied a Novara Aspen for $15.00 @ the SA. It's made of Tange MTB, one of my favorite tubesets.

Will be singlespeeding it most likely. Unfortunately I'll have to sell it ASAP. Hopefully next early 90s Tange MTB tubed rig I find I can singlespeed and keep.

Spent all day doing yardwork. House stuff is a serious time suck.

Looking forward to biking to work tomorrow, seems that's the only way I can get a ride in these days.

Got off work a couple hours early, went on a lazy slow ride around the north side. Somehow I managed to get Friday off this week. Amazing. It's payday and I won't have to work. I won't know what to do with myself.

Don't spend it all at the bar.

I just got home from a Raekwon and Ghostface show, came home and had a fresh pulled pork sandwich that the old lady spent all day slow cooking. Awesome night.

Nah, I'll probably sit at home and do nothing. I leave for Dallas next Wednesday.

Ghostface and Raekwon would be amazing. I'm jealous.

Today I got my butt kicked working grill this afternoon at work :| although some of my ticket times got ****ed up my food all went out at prop temps and nothing came back except for a ****ing chicken sandwhich the customer said was under cooked. I NEVER under cook chicken and i even looked at the ****ing chicken breast, **** was perfect. So instead of my sue chef saying oh yeah hes dumb but grill me another one he said i was wrong and it was under cooked. The mother ****er...

Sometimes I want to go throw plates at the customers for being stupid. I swear one of these days i see a ticket for a ****ing well done filet or sirloin im going to flip.
