Today I found a reasonable replacement for my Pinarello. Only have $100 in the new roadie fund so far tho.

Today I had a spoke pop 3 miles into my ride. Went back home and found it was on the non-drive side, replaced it without removing the wheel and got back on the road in less than 10 minutes.

Now I' going to go play Borderlands GOTY edition and wait to be called into work.

Today I ... had a steak and martini lunch. Much needed. I <3 the few awesome coworkers I have, so so much. There's a steakhouse near our office that does this "Shaken Steak" special, which is a martini, appetizer, entree, and side for $20. So today I had a gin martini (twist, no olive), chorizo potato soup, petit filet, and truffle french fries. For $20. I mean that's just rad.
Yeah, the ones I've met are rad. Also, the olive makes it better
Today I'm having a date day with my wife. Stopped into a LBS that has taken care of me in the past to drop off a six pack of appreciation beer, and saw this out front.

Met Stan Day (SRAM CEO) again. Man, he is such a nice guy. Then a shirtless man in a fedora played us the theme from Jurassic Park theme on a bass trombone. Combine that with the gelato we have and going to see Premium Rush later, it's a rad day.

Got an eye exam today, my right eye got worse. #feelingold
Went on a bike ride with a friend and his brother, got a new lock so he can use my garage for bike storage. #feelinggood
Had a gin 'n' tonic and got lost on the way home. #feelingtipsy
Heven't done homework yet. #feelingguilty

Yeah? Last time I got an eye exam my eyes got slightly better. I was all happy until the doc said "Oh yeah, that starts to happen in your 30s if you're nearsighted... basically it means you'll need bifocals eventually." Woo.
I have the house to myself tonight so I'm finishing up some painting, rocking out to music, and drinking a Malört cocktail.

I've gotten a few MTB rides in but I really need to step it up in that arena as well. Trails gonna get all sloppy here any day.

Is it wrong that I'm sneaking Fixed Gear beer by Lakefront Brewing into the theatre to see Premium Rush?
