had a hard 4 mile or so ride up hill/incline whatever out of my 8 mile ride, went to the gym with my brother and ONLY consumed two small torpedoes of new castle and two large heineken torpedoes.

cutting down on the booze here we go!

today i did a quick 10 miles in the windy 45 degree weather in cycling shorts
rode down a cxish pathway through the woods and fell over once when trying to turn around. was super fun though, now i want a cx bike even more
lessonlearned: 110 psi ≠ cx.

first leisure ride in almost 2 months, loved the **** out of it.
later i get some tights, legs felt fine after a couple miles but anything much colder than that and i would have a problem

out to a local orchard for the pumpkin donuts they make on site. split and toasted w/ black coffee. can die now. much better than the apple based vodka, distilled at another area orchard, i had last night. bleh. state fair gold medal my ***.

dropped the wife off at the local community college for orientation. taking advantage of her unemployment to go for Medical Transcriptionist certification.

now it's time to play saddle-swap on a couple bikes. also going to start getting up a little earlier for work to make time for dressing in cold gear. if nothing else i'll have more ride time with my geeky new headlight.

below is about 2/3 of my usual commute, with some grass/mud stretches. sscx made sense for me and it's become my do it all bike. highly recommended.

yeah, may have to go for some full length thermal tights. 3/4's took me down to 25-29F last year, but i'm pushing for 0F or lower this round....
