Mumonkan 10-08-12 09:35 PM

oh meh
i never really consider shipping costs to be part of the item itself, just a lazyness fee of shopping in my underwear

Dannihilator 10-08-12 09:36 PM

Today I threw the mtb around.

Do you ride any of your bikes? Or just throw them around?

They must get awfully beat up.

Wait a moment; we're not just supposed to take pictures of them to share right? I mean like, you guys actually ride your bikes??

Should mention that I am somewhat certain the rear wheel on the dmr is messed up past the point of repair.

Maybe if you stopped throwing them around...

TheRealFaux 10-08-12 10:12 PM

Today I received a work schedule, so I officially have a job.

jimmytango 10-08-12 10:20 PM

Today I'm debating between geared CX bike or SS 29er for winter. I can get the MTB pretty cheap from a friend, or the CX with employee discount. Decisions decisions...

DH rims Sun MTX33's. Am generally good at truing wheels and can do it sans truing stand if need be. This time it looks like I'll need the truing stand. Can't keep a consistent spoke tension, as in certain spokes are not holding tension. So it's likely the rim's cracked.

Happened on the 930 too.

I'm tellin' you man, you should stop throwing your bikes.

The rear wheel that was on the 930 I had since 2005 and had roughly around 30k miles on it, I knew it was going to happen on that one in the near future. The 930 doesn't get thrown around.

The wheel on the dmr, I didn't even have for a year yet. But that is the toll on that type of DJ MTB, rear wheels tend to get thrashed pretty hard. Just kind of pissed that I didn't get a full season on the wheel.

I can imagine that dirt jumping is rough on hardware.

misskaz 10-08-12 10:37 PM

Today I went to one of my favorite bars to have a really difficult conversation with a friend who is very dear to me.

Now I'm going to bed, because tomorrow I'm going to see SSION and dance all night long and get like no sleep.

If all goes well the dmr will be back up and going in a day or so, just need a rim.

I had no idea SSION was playing tomorrow. I already made plans. Lame.

Nagrom_ 10-09-12 04:09 PM

Today I did my morning ride with a duct taped shoe. Got some weird looks.

Mumonkan 10-09-12 04:55 PM

ever have a day that completely sucks ass and turns out to be kinda awesome at the same time?

got word that my 2 direct managers at job 1 are going to make sure i get this temporary managers position for the holiday
but job 1 sucked major, barely got a break and was breaking my back working at this midget table all day, so tired.

job 2 puts me on the schedule for helpdesk training
but left a voicemail while i was at work at job 1 saying i was supposed to start training today 1-5

cant find a decent full time job to save my life, but i have both jobs trying to promote me, and i dont know which one would be better..

oh i also skipped class, but didnt get to ride today.

im hangry.
