What's wrong with that? It's mad wicked yo.

Don't worry, you'll all be saying it in a few years.

Well this was technically today since it was all after midnight... went to the Bridge School Benefit in Mountain View yesterday (which was awesome). Biked to BART, took it to some friends' house to carpool with them to the venue. Show went later than expected, and barely caught the last train back to SF... then got to ride home ~4 miles in pouring rain at 1:30am. It was surprisingly fun, maybe because I was in such a good mood from the show.

We need to do some norcal BFSSFG meet up.

Today I called everywhere for an iPhone 5 and only found one at Radioshack that I might be able to get tomorrow if the preorder person doesn't grab it today. Then I read horror stories of doing anything with your line after purchasing at Radioshack(Simplexity) and decided that it's not even close to being worth the hassle.

Next vacation is most certainly cali, but $$

today i lost internet access at work. our post-takeover uber-bosses do not trust employees to have web.

Hahaha yeah, not the high point of the night. Flaming Lips, Gary Clark Jr, Foster the People, and Jack White were all excellent though.

Oh, and I got my $ 17t cog on Saturday -- thanks man! I didn't expect to notice so much of a difference between 16t and 17t, but I really do on the two big hills I hit every day. And spinning so fast downhill is weirdly fun.

Today, I officially decided I want a mountain bike. I'd really like to convert an older steel rigid one into a CX-like bike(as some members here have done), but I can get a brand new Hardrock for not much more than used decent older mountain bikes.

RGNY 10-22-12 05:58 PM

have officially cut myself off from new non-repair bike purchases. must exercise restraint.

but, if i'm in a better place in the spring, i wanna build up a French 75 frameset. the obsession continues.....

I'd rather have three '90s Rockhoppers than one new Hardrock, about the same price here.

29er HT stumpy ftw

Today I tried my luck cutting my own hair. It ended up pretty good for a first try, didn't want to rush so it took a hour and a half.

Also started my mission of being able to do 100 consecutive push ups in a months time. Day One: 30 agonizing push ups 70 more to go.

BigglyPuff 10-22-12 09:39 PM

100 is a lot. I get to about 35-40 before muscle failure. Work on form more than numbers, quality over quantity. In fact, why 100 straight? You gonna throw in any dips or flies?

Just got home from work. Got the 18t EAI I ordered from RG. Gonna throw that on later for the commute tomorrow. Finished the veggie delite sandwich that I saved, and bout to plan for tomorrow's class. Oh yeah, got paid today. Tempted to splurge a little.

I'm considering throwing a guard on the clippers and going to town. I've needed a haircut for a couple months, and the person who cut my hair and I are no longer a couple. Only other option I have is a girl who lives across from a few friends of mine, but I have no money to pay her.

Nagrom_ 10-22-12 09:49 PM

aw yiss. got my practice lock set in the mail today.

2-6 pin set. and a 6 mushroom/spool pin lock for a challenge.

About 3 years ago when I was 13 y/o and extremely overweight I couldn't even do five. It's just always been a goal of mine to do 100 straight. Now that I'm down to a healthy 150 lbs I feel like its something I can finally achieve. My school has a weight training room and my teacher says form is good so I want to work on numbers.

Plus I literally cannot do one dip on the bars i'm practicing those by doing bench dips at home. What are flies?

It's not as hard as I thought. The part that had me struggling the most was the hairline I was not blessed with steady hands. Like Bill Dauterive always said " It will grow back"
