About 3 years ago when I was 13 y/o and extremely overweight I couldn't even do five. It's just always been a goal of mine to do 100 straight. Now that I'm down to a healthy 150 lbs I feel like its something I can finally achieve. My school has a weight training room and my teacher says form is good so I want to work on numbers.
Plus I literally cannot do one dip on the bars i'm practicing those by doing bench dips at home. What are flies? |
Dips are better for overall strength than chest press, that's what I heard. So I start with dips now.
But in the big picture, don't neglect your back. I work my back much more than my chest now, because I focused on nothing but chest/shoulders in high school. My back seriously got neglected, and back strength really helps with a lot of things, including appearance. |
protip: deadlifts.

I can't even recall the last time I got a haircut.
I always used to cut my own hair, though. The last time I went somewhere and payed for a haircut was over 20 years ago. |
I dont think I have ever paid for a haircut. When I was young my mom would cut my hair and ever since its either I do it or I find some cutie who is willing to do it for me for free.
|
AYHSMB I pay other people to cut my hair. I don't want some crazy looking lopsided business going on on top of my head... plus barbers and stylists have to pay bills too.
That said, it's been over a year since my last haircut. |
For the last ten years or so I've cut my own hair. I usually do the "grow until it's annoying then buzz/shave" routine, but I think I'm actually gonna have someone make it look good for once.
Today, I need a new pc. Mine is all sorts of ****ed up, thanks to my wife trying to make it faster with spyware removal programs that actually just made it unusable. It's close to four years old, and was outdated when we got it, so I don't feel bad about just getting a new one. |
Today I am building wheels for a certain forum member. Actually, Angie may end up finishing them this afternoon because I have a ton of other repairs to do today.
|
today I will go to bed in a couple hours(work 1am-12pm) wake up and go to the gym and ride this...
http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...80909024_n.jpg stuck out in the gulf for 14 days so thats basically my two week routine.. |
I HATE those contraptions! I hit 'em a couple of times in Circuit Training class and it was awful. It did make me appreciate riding real bike more, however.
So I only do rowing machines and jumprope for the cardio phases from here on out. |
yeah those things are tough, as are trainers.
i have a trainer but i HATE riding that thing, so much so that I would rather not get a proper warmup at a race then use one lol i use it mainly as a stand for my bieks when i work on them lol |
Did my first commute in the rain this morning and manage to do a 18.3mph avs on my 8mi commute with the new 42/17 setup. Can't wait til its nice out so I can see if I can average 19mph.

Today I am back from New Orleans and taking a mental health day from work. What'd I miss? :)

Wow, you must have been spinning pretty good, and have practically no stop signs or signals on your commute route. Lucky! I average about 11mph on my commute, but that's limited by having to stop at so many signals and slow down or stop at a bunch of busy 4-way intersections. |

not a lot of elevation in SE Texas. The causeway was the only actual climb

I took hwy 3 almost the entire way, then cut over to 45 and went over the causeway. way back was super sketch on the overpass before the causeway, massive gaps in the road, had to go into CX mode
