oh yeah forgot about the deliveries.

afraid to ride with you. you must log 500 miles a week and a weekly elevation that adds up to my total of all time

Leukybear 10-17-12 03:58 PM

Today I commuted on my MTB for a change and proceeded to ride it into the ground. Jump all the curbs, avoid all paved surfaces!

Today I got bored and tried to go as fast as I could on my trainer.
Cycling computer said I hit 46.4 and I'm running 45/16 so my cadence was 210.
I dont trust it though http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...31/bike122.gif haha

Today I'm beginning than refinishing process on this:

Nice little alley find. We need a new entertainment center, so that's what this will be. Solid wood, no particle board or anything here. It's a little beat up, and the doors are trashed, but I'll make it beautiful.

Hey for free if there's no roach eggs in it , it's a win in my book

I love doing that every once in awhile, so fun. I did that a couple days last week after getting a flat on the rear of my usual fg commuter that I couldn't patch, and was out of the correct size tubes for it.

Dannihilator 10-17-12 05:49 PM

Today I discovered that not only did I cut down my front tire, I also cut down the rear tire on the 930...

Those were great frames. Is your BB30? If you need cranks let me know. I have 2 sitting in my pats bin.

It's a 98 caad 3, BB30 wasn't born yet.

today i checked out the chrome ivan and freight baggage medium rolltop, then ate the best spinach artichoke hipster artisan grilled cheese ive ever had.
now im "learning" in digital imaging class, made this:
http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=279080

tl;dr: chrome ivan is nice but not fat enough. medium freight baggage is perfect (mesesenger large wouldve been insanely huge, thank you therealfaux for putting doubt in my mind).

Why are you doing this to me. Some guy dropped off his white/blue frame at my friend's shop. It's my size and I was drooling over it

Speaking of that, it caught up to me at the end of the day:

I got a pinch flat. But, I did get to use my pdw shiny object c02 inflator that I got from scrod for the first time. 2 16g cartridges later and it is honestly by far the easiest inflator I've ever used, hands down money well spent.
The regulator knob worked better than expected. No leaks, juggling or fondling around whatsoever. It took no effort whatsoever start to end. I can easily say it puts genuine innovation's mini inflator to flat-out shame.

Lost his binders?

Today I learned how to center single-pivot calipers, and how to seat a stubborn bead after the tire is mounted. I hope Sheldon's proud of me.

Isn't it incredible and so easy? I wish it didn't take me so long to learn.

Nagrom_ 10-17-12 08:18 PM

Got a new wallet today.

Let a little air out annd beat the **** outta tire? Or you got ana secret?

striknein 10-17-12 08:32 PM

Overfill the tube. I pumped them up to 160psi, heard a little "pop", and the low spot disappeared. Deflate and reinflate back to your desired pressure, et voila.

That sounds horrifying. Have you ever had a tire blow off the rim when you're pumping it up?

Nagrom_ 10-17-12 08:41 PM

Yeah dude, wtf. I'd never do that.

striknein 10-17-12 08:51 PM

Can't argue with success.

Nagrom_ 10-17-12 08:54 PM

You won't argue when your tire blows off the rim.

striknein 10-17-12 09:00 PM

If it was going to, it would have. It's not like I'm riding it at 160.
