snuck in a quite stroll around town for the first time in a week or so, and popped some sw8 wheelies with my new riser barr. Also s/o to my school for putting all the athletes on one side of campus, I have my windows open cuz no AC and these football players are constantly hooting and howling in the quad all day/night. sure do appreciate that

ive had this particular knife since around 2007. she is trusty and strong. ive used it to cut random things, used it as a pry bar and even used to open beer bottles lol
if you look close enough you can see the tip is bent.

lol scrod
funny part is most of my friends don't carry a knife, but are constantly asking to borrow mine. i even try and give them one...... :/
the multitool with a (replaceable) locking blade is one of the best inventions since thumbs.
at the bare minimum i have a Leatherman Squirt (mini multitool w/ small-nonlocking blade) and a AAA 80+ lumen flashlight when i leave the house. both dangle from a small ring attached to a pocket clip that is clipped to my left front pocket. don't even know they are there.
The space coyote lied.

so i realized how friggin easy 71GI is...aside from the obnoxious spinning...i definitly prefer a higher GI...i guess i prefer a little more mash a little less spin, i think 72 or 73 would be perfect as before i was 74 and hills where a ***** sometimes. small hills and inclines didnt bother me at all, it was the extended climbs for a couple miles that would fatigue me.
or maybe it was the extended climb going home after 8 hours of work on my feet in front of a grill getting my ass kicked.

Knife-wielders:
How useful do you find carrying a knife? Anecdotes? I tried carrying a cheap pocket knife a couple times and wasn't into it. I hate having too many things in my pockets, and hardly used it. I use my keys to open boxes at work. I know there are times when it is a lifesaver but I have yet to experience a time when I needed a blade and wasn't able to find/make a suitable one. I have always assumed carrying an expensive knife was some sort of prop for dudes that like to pretend they're super handy and outdoorsy.

Ive had a knife of some variation since i was around 8, i feel naked without one
I use it to pry, screw, scrape, open, and of course cut stuff, in a pinch perhaps self defense
I cant remember a day where i havent used it
Ive never carried an expensive knife every day, like nagrom says they like to dissapear
The one i had for the longest was some junk shrade lockback and i had for about 9 years and just kept razor sharp
This year im planning to get a benchmade x doug ritter mini griptillian with custom scales and/or a benchmade mini barrage with asissted opening. Benchmade is amazing quality and thats why im willing to pay the money for them
Ive never had a problem with cops even when i was in a situation where i had been confronted by them either. I said ahead of time what i had on me and appreciated my honesty
Im currently carrying a victorinox cadet with alox scales, things got 8 functions and is 1/4" thick
I also have a squirt ps4 on my keys which give me little scissors which i find invaluable, the pliers are their other primary reason i have them and so far have been used at least once a week
Needless to say im a knife lover and advocate.

Also, stay away from serrations, theyre needless. A sharp knife is better than serrations any day.
I dont find a tanto blade shape to be all that useful either but to each his own

I hate serrations. And they're damn near impossible to sharpen. Never owned a knife that was serrated, but my Dad's CRKT is half and half, with a tanto point. Looks sweet as hell, but its often not that useful. The only tanto I have myself is my Cold Steel Tanto Lite. It was only $25, and its ginormous. Current yardwork/camping/hunting knife. So much good for so little money.
Tantos are good for puncturing.
meh, i keep my blades shaving sharp and serrations never chalk up to a good sharp blade
any knife is good for puncturing really, tantos are great for prying though i will say that

All this knife talk just sparked 30 minutes of looking for a new knife.
I didn't find one that wow-ed me. I'll have to go to real stores this weekend and look.

I'm not gonna drop a spear point straight into something and risk losing a chunk of it.

I prefer killing with my bare hands.
Today it's FINALLY Friday and it's time for Friends&Fun, my friend's bi-weekly after work outing that usually turns into lots of beers and awesomeness.
Also Scrod I think your FB got hacked unless you intended to post about some diet?
