Make sure your back is taking a good amount of the weight from your upper body. You don't want to be supporting all of your upper body weight with your arms. As your back strengthens (as long as your fit is correct), your arms should become less tired.

Hello everybody.
Ended up going with a Specialized Langster...been riding it for a few days, and am digging it. But, I'm finding that my arms are getting a bit tired with the bullhorns on anything longer than a 5-10 minute ride. Will I get used to it, or should I switch them out for drops or something? |
Should I, switch from my threadless set up to a threaded set up with a nitto quillstem? Or just go buy another threadless stem?

Should I switch to 28s? Been rocking 25s for a while, feel like I wouldn't mind a teeny bit more cush on the crackity-crumbly roads. |
after getting 32s i wont buy any tire smaller than 28 now, its so nice and at least in my case it didnt make me any slower
i say yes |

I apologize if my question drags out but I do tend to run on, and for me it is a difficult decision:
Awhile back I bought a Maxway nickel-plated, lugged, track-end frameset from my neighbor. I have been gathering parts for my build since, still need a few things so nothing is put together. I have an old Ciocc roadie that has been in the family since it was new. It originally belonged to my uncle who had a bike shop up north, and if it was in good shape would be extremely valuable. I took it away from my derelict brother after he spent the past few years trashing it. As too often happens in such things, my plan to restore it to its original glory got put on hold. http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=344297 Yesterday my neighbor offered to trade me his heavily-used, but clean Cinelli Supercorsa Pista frameset in exchange for my Ciocc & his old Maxway frame back. He will leave the Chris King headset & a bottom bracket from some company I never heard of to fit a Campagnolo Record Pista Crankset on the frame and nothing else. I would have to change the bb to work with my already purchased cranks or get a Campy crankset & sell the one I have. Should I take him up on his offer? |
I wouldn't.

Should I sell my Leader, and then save up for a cross bike?

save first and if you still wanna sell it by the time the sale would equal whatever else you need for the cx bike then go for it |

That sounds good. What were you looking at?

Should I get H+Son Sl42 or Mavic Open Pros? FWIW they would both be laced to formula hubs and price difference is only a couple bucks. Going on my TT Pro that is my main commuter.
|
Those are totally different rims, but I would go with the Open Pro because it is much lighter. If you could, I would try out an Archetype rim though.

Cinelli Supercorsa Pista for my Ciocc & his old Maxway frame.

The stock wheels that come on the TT Pro have held up great for the last 2 years. I should expect the same from the Open Pros correct? With the additional weight loss too?
|
The open pros are a big upgrade in quality, along with weight loss.

Should I...
Buy a Cinelli MASH Histogram Complete off of Craigslist for $450 or pass up what could be the best deal I'll ever get on a Cinelli to save some money? |

Buy it. If you're not gonna ride it, flip it.
|
Sounds almost too good to be true. Any info on the components?

Buy a Cinelli MASH Histogram Complete off of Craigslist for $450 or pass up what could be the best deal I'll ever get on a Cinelli to save some money? HOWEVER, if the seller is just a moron and it's around a 52cm, I'll buy the frameset off of you for 450 :thumb: |
This.
Also make sure to check for any structural damage. Considering that a new frameset alone is about $1000 or so, selling a complete bike for $450 just doesn't make sense, even if it is used, unless of course there's something dodgy about it. |
I'm looking around to see if it was stolen and can't find anything... So, I'm trying to make it happen. It seemed too good to be true because it's the Histogram Complete from the Mash Storeroom that retailed for $1800. I'm still trying to get it figured out though because this guy is such a horrible communicator.
YK_ it's a 53cm so if I get a hold of it, we might be able to do some business! I'll let you know. Thanks for the input everyone. And ya, even if I don't end up liking it that much I could flip this thing quick in Seattle for a solid profit margin. Rock on. |

It's definitely stolen.

I am going to n+1. I am debating on how I want to do it.
Option 1: Land Shark Track Shark for myself Option 2: Land Shark Road Shark for my sqrlfriend I currently own 4 bikes and my sqrl seldom rides her only bike so neither option will see a lot of ride time. I just want another Land Shark. What do? |
That's a joke question, right?
