Ummm, something else, something that gets asterisked here. |
what color SHOULD I get my new Spooky bike painted? I'm thinking gold or purple. Something that screams BADASS yet sexually questionable.

Do a nice midnight purple or something, was thinking about painting my bike purple as well. |
Seconding the purple, but voting a little lighter than midnight. The way I see it, if it worked for Prince it will work for your bike.
So my vote is Prince purple. |
Love the color on that Skyline. Reminds me of Bridgestone purple. Oh so sexy!

sell the V.
sell it fast for as much money as you can |
I just received my veeps today; seeing that they are silver, I'm tempted to lace them to silver phils, a combo I've always wanted. Instead of relacing my DA's to them as planned initially and just relacing the front for that set instead. Should I?
|
Yes, then sell me your DA's. ^_^
|
Should I buy S300's or just go for omnoms straight away? If it matters, I plan to race this year.
|
FWIW, I keep considering upgrading from my S300's to Omniums, but can't really justify it. The S300's haven't given me any problems at all, and I haven't noticed any flex or anything. If you're trying to be budget conscious, I'd say just go for the S300 but if you're just going to be wanting the Omniums anyways, just go with them in the first place.

i have a confession. i'm definitely not hipster (trust me i tried and it just didn't work out. the receding hairline totally nipped that one in the bud), none of my bikes are shweet fixay tarck, and i know they are incredibly heavy, overpriced boat anchors and are basically just for hipster street cred....but i cant help but want a white aerospoke. i know i know. ridiculous.
its just that, out of all my bikes, the one "street fixed gear" i own is a traitor ringleader, where the back half of the frame is purple and the front half is white. all components are silver, tiny touches of purple here and there (valve caps, cable crimp, and that middle piece on the thomson elite stem)...brown brooks saddle and tape. everytime i look at the bike i imagine a front white aerospoke on it (YES just a front lol) and it makes me LOL at the thought of it, how tarck it would look....and i like what i see in my mind's eye. like, allot. i see a white aerospoke on ebay for 250. i have disposible income. about 250 dollars worth. please talk me out of it. i sort of somewhat pride myself on making somewhat logical component purchases for my bike, so its sort of bothering me lol |

Everyone has a little tarck in them.
Is it worth $250? Absolutely not. Scrod paid $75 for his and now it's not even in use. It's okay to pay $250 for a wheel--if you like the look and it will not hurt ride quality. Anything that makes you ride your bike is great. But $250 towards a gamble at making your bike look a little better in your eyes but feel worse? |

but then ill be so aero lol not really
yah you are really right. aerospokes are NOT worth 250. definitely not what they go for new (i was just googlin' around and then i saw aerospokes going for 400 new and i said out loud "you're ****ing kidding me!! lol" and a coworker was like "what?" and i didn't feel like explaining the atrocious price of new aerospokes and what an aerospoke is and it was awkward anywho) and it will make the bike heavier. and it might not even look better. but...if i ever had a chance to buy a front aerospoke for around 100 bucks I WOULD DO IT IN A HEARTBEAT ps hey scrod watcha doin with that aerospoke EDIT nevermind lol nice profit:) |

Derp get those 75's and a Protype BB, done for $160.
|
god i want some 75s.
should i relace my superhottie hubs to deep section rims, carbon tubies, or open pro cds? also considering tb14 instead of open pros. whatever it is must be 28h f/r. |
Wut the! Why is everyone like I want the 75's but I'm not buying them? They look 95% new and they're the same price as RD2's or whatever. I would buy them but I already have a set (althought they're pretty beat up :() and there's no way the Kilo is getting 75's.
