Should I build up my purple All City Nature Boy with all black components or all silver components?

Scrodzilla 10-11-13 10:41 PM

That depends on if you want black or silver parts.

Should I replace my straight handlebar (http://store.cinelli-usa.com/p/peppe...ite-31-8?pp=12) for a bullhorn handlebar (http://store.cinelli-usa.com/p/lola-...wht-31-8?pp=12) And my fixed gear has trick fork... ?.

Wouldn't be a problem if you don't plan on doing/ never intended to do tricks. Additional hand positions are always a plus with bullhorns over risers.

spRICE 10-14-13 09:54 PM

FGFS forks really only look right with riser bars, but you can do whatever you want. Bullhorn bars are fun :D

Sick of waiting for it.

It's a unicorn I'm sure.

Chances are pretty good if cdale doesn't have a current track offering... Not to mention everything is there if speculation serves right that it's going to be based off of CAAD.

Yeah, it looks weird, but FGFS bikes look weird in general. I have seen it done around school here, and it doesn't look half as weird as some of the things people do to their bikes.

Travispv 10-16-13 11:15 AM

Yeah, so my bike it's gonna look like this, same brand, no brake, but mine is 2012 edition and grey-white, the tires are black.

Thanks for your comments guys :D.

Leukybear 10-18-13 02:21 PM

Black rim, silver hub; what should I do about spoke/ nipple color? i.e. black nipples/ silver spokes OR silver nipples/ black spokes?

spRICE 10-18-13 02:25 PM

Black spokes and silver nipples. My wheels have that combo and it is sexy :D

If they were my wheels, I'd go with silver spokes & nipples a la Miche Pistards.

This. I prefer silver spokes over black ones (shiny!) and only think they look out of place when combined with black hubs.

Although I like coloured nipples. Gold ones usually. But that's just me being flamboyant.

Edit: Bladed spokes too, mostly for looks but I assume theres some "aero" benefit there as well.
