adriano 02-26-12 04:34 PM

nice hubs if you ask me. i have used quite pricey cxrays with mine.

yummygooey 02-26-12 04:41 PM

Good to know. I've been interested in them for awhile now... almost bought a set a couple months ago for a future build. Those were the spokes I was considering as well.

Dolan Pre Cursa on sale or a wheel build?

Jaytron 02-26-12 09:55 PM

Silver chain, or keep it gold?

I like the gold, keep it gold.

xkillemallx16 02-26-12 10:56 PM

Stay gold, Jaytronboy.

Should I drill out the Kagero fork to accept a brake, buy a new fork that's already drilled, or should I just htfu and run brakeless?

Nagrom_ 02-26-12 11:16 PM

cost of each option?

hairnet 02-26-12 11:19 PM

drill it

ddeadserious 02-26-12 11:22 PM

1. Drill it - Likely cheap from my LBS. He already offered, said they could do it, no big deal.
2. New fork - I haven't found a replacement fork that I'd like yet, but I wouldn't spend more than $200 on one.
3. Run brakeless - Could be free and everything could be fine. Could kill/maim myself or my bike from my stupidity or someone else's.

xkillemallx16 02-26-12 11:32 PM

Drill it son.

If it's a frame you really like and you want to run a brake, go for it. Better to be safe than sorry, or risk yourself/bike. Resale value wont be damaged much, and once again, if its a frame you want to keep fro a while you shouldn't be worrying about it. New fork would be pricey, might not fit geo, not look that good, etc.

If you look inside the bottom of the crown, you'll see the Kagero fork is already drilled. It's just plugged.

ddeadserious 02-27-12 09:08 AM

I noticed that, but how on earth do you get the threaded post out?

Scrodzilla 02-27-12 10:02 AM

If you drill the crown just a little bit on both sides, you should be able to pull it right out using needlenose pliers.

ddeadserious 02-27-12 10:30 AM

Ahh good to know. Thanks!

Scrodzilla 02-27-12 10:33 AM

No prob. Just be careful and drill right where the center of the plug is.

TheRealFaux 03-01-12 03:45 AM

Should I get a black one or white one?

nite train 03-01-12 03:55 AM

black, it absorbs the sunlight, much more aero than the white with all the sunlight bouncing off and creating drag

Son Of Ra 03-01-12 02:54 PM

Should I get a Randonneur or an Everwear for daily commuting and skidding?

White is more euro pro though.

They're both good tires to run in the rear; but my vote has to go for the everwear as it has more material and is rated for higher PSI's.

Scrodzilla 03-01-12 05:07 PM

Agreed. Everwears may be a little sluggish but nowhere near as boggy as a Rando.

Son Of Ra 03-01-12 05:16 PM

Yeah I was leaning toward the Everwear anyway.. Thanks guys.

adriano 03-01-12 06:24 PM

white helmet by far.

i actually really like how my rando 32 wire beads roll. maybe i got a good pair.

TheRealFaux 03-01-12 10:43 PM

Well I decided not to get either the black or white prolight. I got a white ionos instead :D
