I have no idea what the final version looks like whatsoever to be honest but going on the assumption of MASH being gearless I assume it's going to have track ends. Someone said it's going to be a very limited run however, with the flagship store only getting 12 in total, which going from cinelli's sizing scheme is 3 in each size.

Is what you guys are talking about different from this? I've seen this bike in person and it has a rear cassette https://web.stagram.com/p/253542650243741019_10328100

no that's the geared Cinelli Zydeco. it's cinelli's cross bike.
the one we are talking about is the mash singlespeed version. same geo actually!
this
is the prototype i'm pretty sure Chas was racing at last year's sscxwc.

Getting ready to build a new wheelset. I ride fatter tires; 28mm rear, 25mm front. Here's the most recent pic of my bike:

Should I go with H+SON TB14s?
Benefits:
Wider rim profile (how much? no idea), possibly beneficial on cornering and road feel
What about Kinlin XR-270s?
Benefits:
Lighter weight (100g less compared to the H+SONs)
less expensive (per RG, $40 cheaper for the set)
Semi-aero profile (purely aesthetic for my purposes)
With my overall wheel choices, both are going to be strong, lightweight wheels. It really comes down to aesthetics on this one, and the potential ride characteristics of the wider rim. Think I'll see an improvement going with the heavier, more expensive TB14? Since I don't really have a budget for these wheels, price doesn't matter to me that much.

so i just picked this '72 (pretty sure) Raleigh Super Course off CL for $30. it has a removable RD mount. I was thinking of making it a classic looking fixed gear with a simple 700c wheelset, and some mustache bars. thoughts?
FWIW the RD and crankset are toast

That sounds expensive. What's wrong with the crankset? Rebuilding cottered cranks/bb is very cheap and easy. I'd put my vote in for just installing the cog on the wheel that's on there now and running two brakes.
But I like cottered cranks, if I had the option I'd have a classific fixed gear with 27" wheels and cottered cranks hanging in my garage. So, probably ignore my advice.

I have the mustache bars already. I was thinking M13II to formula hubs which arent too expensive. one of the crank arms is bent. i already swapped the BB, crankset, RD, and rear wheel from my Peugeot, just so i could test ride it to see how the frame fits and such.

If you are going for looks, I vote for the swallow. And I'm not just being contrarian.
Is that your bike? Does it have those wacky bars? If so, it doesn't matter which saddle you pick, but the swallow will look better once you get aesthetically consistent bars.

I have all the parts but life has been getting in the way of me from actually rebuilding it having replaced it from duty. At the moment it's a table ornament to make all the little hipster boys and girls envious of what they don't/ can't have.
Forgot to mention, I also replaced the seat collar with a silver thomson to balance out the silver & black of the newer build and hopefully preserve the original small parts if I ever intend to rebuild it in stock heritage form.

Selling my roadie.
To replace it, should I get the Civilian VLR?
Or should I build up a ebay carbon frame with ultegra?
I kinda want to build...
