Sould I put mustache bars on my Fuji? The top tube is short and I think the longer reach of the new bars might make the ride more comfortable, even though I lose a hand position.

You don't lose hand positions. There are so damn many hand positions on mustache bars, and the hoods are one of my favorites.
I say do it. |
New option for rims on the caad.
KinLin CX-279: http://fairwheelbikes.com/cycling-bl...79-150x150.jpg http://i.ebayimg.com/t/NEW-KINLIN-XC...YCQ~~60_35.JPG H+Son Archetype: http://fairwheelbikes.com/cycling-bl...pe-150x150.jpg http://fairwheelbikes.com/images/hpl...etype_rims.jpg KinLin: Pros: deeper. non anodized brake track, more aero shape cons: pinned seam Archetype: Pros: welded seam, slightly lighter. cons: anodized brake track The kinlin seems to get really great reviews. Any one have thoughts/experiences with it? I'm thinking 24/32, 2x lasers front, 3x races rear, to some taiwanese hubs. |
I prefer the rounded look of the kinlins, but I also like the aesthetic of the archetype's brake surface. That's a tough one.

What bike?

They'll end up looking like this for the majority of their lives:

They look good to me.... I say go for it. Radial front of course.

Archetypes and superfine grit sandpaper to make it clean from the start?
|
But it looks so ugly.

Gotta be black? Polished silver Archetypes might look kinda cool.
|
The last thing I need in my stable is more polished hoops.
|
but...shiny
|
I have more shiny than anyone should ever have.
|
Morgan I think that looks fine to me. You're over thinking this ****. Just get them.
|
But I can't just do it, lol.
I'm gonna be one of those guys who asks for opinions, and then does what he wants. |
111.5 gram Shimano 600 OR 160 gram Campagnolo headset for the Free Spirit?
Unfortunately I don't have the OG Campy locknut. :( Also do not have tool for Shimano but love buying tools for one or two lifetime uses. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8386/8...90853491_b.jpg |
Should I build Archetypes to Suzues with Sapim spokes and nipples for my next bike (Wabi)?

You shouldn't be worrying about weight on that of all framesets... |
I can't help but weight ween even 24 pound HiTen fixies. The Campy would be 10x better-looking, though...

I think drops + hoods looks sily. Plus I don't like having hoods. I ride drops with nothing and I love it.

Should I get m530 pedals and mtb shoes for the road bike when I commute or should I stick with my 105 PD-5700 SPD-SL and road shoes and just get used to clipping in and out at every stop light?
The 105 and road shoes are new but there's a pair of pedals and shoes in the road section for $100 that would work for me. |
