Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Is this anything?

I want to upgrade my fakey, and this frame + a new BB and headset looks like a good choice... https://www.amazon.com/Track-Fixie-Ro...ref=pd_sbs_sg5 it claims to come from a reputable factory, almost as though it's identical to a higher end frame, is that BS or what? I don't really care if it isn't, but I'd like to know if it's garbage. Any thoughts?

You'd probably be better off with a visp off ebay. Especially since that seller has a whopping 1 feedback, not to mention amazon takes a pretty big cut so people tend to up their prices.

These things

They look pretty much identical to the one you linked on amazon. There's various types floating around and people seem to generally be happy with them for the price-range.

you're right about them seeming almost identical.. I'm leaning away from wanting a branded frame.. eh would you think that with the positive ebay feedback and the identical price to the amazon one it would be worth it?

They sell non-decaled visps also.

Because someone somewhere between the design table and the factory made some mistakes.
