Yeah...they most likely made a few clicks and pings because I didn't ride your bike after truing the wheels today.

striknein 03-10-12 10:43 PM

Haha, I asked this in carleton's thread, and he didn't know either.

Scrodzilla 03-11-12 12:15 AM

He died. Again.

Awkward question, but how does Velomine offer wheelsets so cheap? I was poking around and they seem to offer wheelsets for the same price as the hubs by themselves, albeit they don't really come with fancy rims or spokes, but still (not to mention the cost of labor).

Xgecko 03-11-12 08:26 PM

I'm guessing bulk purchasing and something like this

MincedFeet 03-12-12 02:54 AM

Miche Pistard clinchers for $115 or Sun CR-18's?

I honestly have no idea. I know they buy in bulk but they're prices are often even lower than bulk wholesale.

Hard to say. Those are two entirely different wheelsets designed for different things.

MincedFeet 03-12-12 10:20 PM

What would you get?

Scrodzilla 03-12-12 10:46 PM

I would get neither.

What's your intended purpose? Track? Commuting? Everyday bombing around town?

MincedFeet 03-12-12 11:02 PM

Anything but track. I know the pistards don't like brakes, but maybe I'll go back to brakeless. Such fun times, although it will look weird on my very road oriented Sputnik.

Soo__Fuego 03-13-12 10:33 PM

What front wheel is this?

If they won't be seeing the track, why get track wheels? IMO you'd be better off with a well-built set of Fusions.
